I can't find a definitive answer after googling for quite a while. Can I pack my spare itaste vv v3's in my hold luggage ? Thanks in advance.

Some one might give you a definitive answer but I went to Turkey recently and had a couple of batteries in my hand luggage and a couple in my hold luggage, all got there and back no probs, except for the brand new spinner I sold to a lady who had broken her battery.

Lithium batteries of any kind must be in hand luggage, so the answer is hand luggage only, if it was a mod with a replaceable battery then the mod can go in the hold luggage but the battery would have to be in a battery box or have the contacts isolated (taped over) and carried in hand luggage.
These restrictions are in case a battery shorts/vents and causes a fire, cabin crew can then deal with it, there have been cases in the past where lithium batteries have caused a fire in the hold.
Most airline websites will tell you what is restricted in both hand and hold luggage.

I flew last week. All batteries were in my handbag in the cabin, all my juices and filled clearos were in my suitcase in a clip lock pot stuffed with tissue just to save any confusion (I never bother trying to take liquids on a flight). No issues at all and it was only a short flight, I wasn't worried about vaping on the plane.
I asked this question too as I'd never flown with any vaping gear before and got great advice. x

Thanks for all the help. Consensus seems to be all batteries in hand luggage, but have just received this email from Thomson.
Thanks for your email about your flight to Majorca. You're not allowed to use electronic cigarettes on the plane at all, although they can be carried in hand luggage or checked in luggage. I hope the above has answered your query, but if you have any other questions then you're welcome to get back in touch. I hope you have a great holiday.
Kind regards,

I've flown 3 times this year and will fly again in November.
I always put devices with integral batteries in my Hand Luggage, plus loose batteries for mods, though these MUST be in a battery box. 1 x 10ml in the clear plastic bag in hand luggage with other liquids. Bulk liquids in a zip lock bag & charger plus MODS with batteries removed in hold Luggage. I had a MVP with atty attached in the clear plastic bag that I placed on top of my jacket when it went through the x-ray machine. No problems at all either in the UK or Spain.

My granddaughter had her Itaste vape pen taken by customs on her return flight from Bali earlier this year they took all her vape gear which was in her hand luggage. Not too sure of the details but she is a uni student with the usual student look. They took all of her chargers too. I think it's best to take gear you aren't too worried about losing as it seems very hit and miss saffydina.

I took cheapo kit to China just in case. in this instance babs, I think your g-d has a good case to demand a return on the chargers. A charger is a charger, and not an e-cig. Then again, not worth the bother if it was a £4.99 eGo one.

Oh, and back on topic a bit more. I would never pack a lithium battery in the hold, regardless of rules and regs. Hand luggage for Lions and Liquids.
