A project that could be something to keep an eye on, it's a bit basic at the moment, but it does give the listings from our past (from Radio Times), although only BBC at the mo. www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-magazine-monitor-29647931In case you miss the link, it's here... genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/I'm still searching the 50's for 'The Appleyards' and the 'Grove Family'... my first soaps... no murders there! But I have found 'Andy Pandy', 'The Flowerpot Men', and the 'Interlude', and so many names from the past that I'd forgotten. It's brought back memories of when I was on holiday in Kent, staying with an Aunt & Uncle, and saw the first ITV advert... Gibbs Toothpaste, I think, on a new channel. Was there again, in the 60's, listening to 'pirate radio' for the first time. So many happy memories... what went wrong. ??? Sorry, I'm feeling particularly nostalgic tonight... don't know why.

There was no TV when I was born Nor me, which made it so exciting when we got our first one. I can just about remember when it was first switched on. Couldn't believe it.

Just had a wee peek and on the day I was born, among other things Laurel and Hardy, Deputy Dawg, and the Grand National (in colour for the first time apparently) Sounds like a good day in front of the telly

My Dad was probably very annoyed that he would have missed it, but he probably still managed to get a bet on
