Hi everyone, with BLEEP approaching I have decided to treat myself but stuck on what to get. I am stuck between making either a sx350 box mod like Super-Shiny superb looking godfather mod or buying the new rDNA40. I don't want to make a dna40 mod as my soldering skills are not the best and would probably end up frying the board, Whereas the SX board has the wires already soldered to the board so it's easier for me. I don't really like the Sigelei mods or the IPV mods, Nor have any interest in going over 40/50 watts. I do like the look of the rDNA but it does seem expensive for what you get, as it will roughly cost about £90-£100 to make one. So bearing this in mind what would you recommend?

I'd just buy a vaporshark 6 months ago I could see the point in putting the time and effort into making a nice little box mod as they were difficult to buy then. These days they're ten a penny so unless you get pleasure from tinkering then I don't see the point in making your own

The only thing you get building your own now is self satisfaction and place the components where you want them. It isn't really a money saver anymore. But it won't stop me tinkering.

jcol making your own mod nowadays won't save you any money BUT making your own knowing you built it by your own hands easily out weighs a pre-made one.....it is stressful but at the same time fun especially when you get close to the completed item.

Also, if a part becomes defective in a home build, it can be repaired/changed at home without sending it back to manufacturer and paying handsomely for the pleasure.

But if you want stress free and and don't care about the above and have the money than

I am in the process of making a DNA40 with swappable 18650 that will be smaller than the rDNA same height and width as an iStick but a little wider 75x38x22, hope to be able to post details by the end of the week, it will be similar to the one in my sig with no charger.
