We share the same size feet Perps. Years ago you wouldn't have been able to get 2 left feet as you would be lucky to get one size 8 in stock let alone two!!

Very true Dolly! The size of my trotters have been ( one of ) the bane of my life . . . I guess ladies at the other end of the scale have found the same as well!

Though when I started work, they were a more modest size 6, all those years of standing and they've spread to epic proportions.


The best of all this is, I ended up working at this particular shoe shop, until it closed in December last year and we all got made redundant.


I never let on my left foot experience and they never recognized me either.

Yes, i have very wide feet too, but have always been that way. Being 5ft 10" I would fall over with size 5s

They didn't share my sense of humour Dolly, so I decided discretion was the better part of valour.

I'm 5'8", so would look a bit unbalanced with more dainty sized tootsies as well . . . though a neat size 4/5 and shoe styles can look so much more attractive somehow.

Sadly, the world seems to be filling up with people who have no sense of humour.

When i lived in Sydney there was a very big Japanese/Korean community there. I remember going into shoe shops and seeing enormously high heels in tiny tiny sizes that looked like childrens! The penny didnt drop until my aussie friend explained it was for their tiny feet. Some of them were as small as the length of my hand. Put my clod hoppers next to them and you would think they belonged to Big Foot LOL

I'm 5'7" with size 5 feet. I'm also a bit, erm.... 'top heavy' so I get knocked over in a light breeze! Mum was only 5'2" and she was a 7. A right-angle!
