Two of the tired arguments against clones on (ahem) certain forums/FB groups that make me chuckle are... "The sale of clones stifles innovation"... Really? With a new mod/atty literally coming out every week that argument doesn't hold much water. And "with all your clones you could've bought one genuine"...um yeah,I know that but you've got one option and I've got 6 different options that perform brilliant for the same price cheers For me the perfect example of a great clone is a copy of a certain £100 + uk made atomiser of which was expected to fail miserably and couldn't be cloned anyway because it was too complex. But to be quite honest the Chinese exceeded all expectations as it's brilliant (much to the disgust of the above forum) therefore a great indicator that the days of cheap shitty clones from certain manufacturers are long gone. They do go a bit far sometimes lol, there is on Alibaba a V3 Rose clone, wow, that was quick I hear you say. Ermm, well no............................unless the Chinese are also clairvoyant The only problem appears to be that they forgot to make the drip tip and the chimney out of one piece of metal. The drip tip is a basic 510 SS one which makes it a little difficult to adjust the juice flow oops

Lol robby!! I shall be keeping a very close eye on the genuine rose v3 and if it looks anything like this clone then we can assume something very fishy is going on at eden mods

I only ever visit this forum unless I stumble on another during a search, I never realised there was so much animosity and bitching on the subject! The results of this poll seem to suggest the most people are happy to have a foot in both camps.

I know what you mean robby, but please put in some line breaks, it's really hard for a dyslexic to keep their place in big blocks of text. I have to be very selective on what I buy and if I didn't mix my own juice it would be even less. Vortexes may work, but they wouldn't be able to design them accurately with the variables of coil, user & mouth piece, as you know F1 has spent millions every year since the early 70's and are still learning. It's more like a carburettor, inlet manifold or cylinder head and they just optimise flow from what I've seen.

Just picking up on something interesting that robby said. The word 'cheap'. This can really refer to cost or quality... Of course 'we' use the term cheap often to describe something as being inexpensive.''Mate, the kaftan lite 1:1 clone is awesome and mega cheap!!'' So it can be used in a positive light. Also can be a negative: ''The IPV2 performs really well but it does feel a little cheap''. People use the term 'cheap at half the price' normally to say something is really inexpensive, although that doesn't really make sense. The word cheap in this case is referring to quality. For instance, like the IPV2 example, the IPV2 is cheap at half the price means it still feels like is built to substandard quality, even if it was £30 instead of £60. Not sure why I've written this apart from its something that I find people often misinterpret.
