Hi
I've ordered a cheap dripper from focalecig and it will take a few weeks to arrive. . Will it work with standard batteries, my Spinner II or my Smoktech SID, or do I need to invest in a Mech? ???.

Will work on all of those but you'll be limited in options for coiling it due to ohm and amp limits

In my experience the spine would not be great for a dripper as will not fire low ohms and the sid also was not great. They will both work above 1.5ohm or so but you might end up wanting more power.
A mech would be a good plan, just make sure you get some decent batteries and read up on how to build the dripper etc.
I enjoy dripping at home but find it a PITA when out and about!

Yeah I certainly would try using a dripper on a spinner battery, due to the fact you will need such a high resistance for it to fire, you will be really underwhelmed with how it performs with a 1.5ohm coil A cheap mech with a decent set of batteries would be your best bet, or a regulated device which can read lower ohm coils or can put out decent amount of watts. Some people find dripping a PITA where as others (myself included) it's all I use all day every day. You just kinda get used to carrying around a 15ml dripper bottle of juice, spare battery and some tissues for the mess you will make from time to time One of these would come in handy for out and about... And only a couple of quid from FT as opposed to £25 for the genuine one over here.

i dunno a liittle igo s with a 1.5 ohm microcoil and cotton on a ego battery would out perform other clearos on the same device i would think anyways of course a vv/vw device or a mech would be better but a little dripper on a ego could be a upgrade from clearos on a ego

I'm after a single coil dropper myself. Mostly because I have a few juices I like and wouldn't mind vaping occasionally but wouldn't want to fill a tank.
I'm crap at coiling but you can buy coils on eBay so not a problem. Got 8 micro coils for £2 and given how long a good micro coil lasts I think that's a bargain. But there's so many droppers and they look complicated I've no idea which to get.

Wrapping coils is actually really easy but if your not interested in the hobby side and just want something that works then you can find premade coils on ebay or look on fasttech and you can get 50+ coils in any resistance you want for about £2 delivered to your door, then just use some cotton and you can easily switch out flavours as often as you need to.

Sounds fine to me Sydsut. You should get a great vape. If you want to try for clouds get a mech - you would also need a largish air hole for that.

Tips of the day, that I only learned recently. Make sure you have a good amount of airflow in your dripper! Don't pack it too full of wick, move the coil(s) so they're near the air intake holes (or adjust airflow if you can e.g. Tobh to be right behind the coil). When using it, prepare to take good tug (ooh er missus) on the drip tip, if you have clouds escaping from the airholes it's wasted juice! Make sure you keep the wick well wetted with juice, dry burns on a dripper taste nasty.

sydsut it's one of these.. www.fasttech.com/products/1853404Really handy for your mod, a battery and a bottle of juice and can be clipped to bag or similar. Its a clone of a "vapesox" which sell for £25 over here, pretty much a 1:1 clone and for the price well worth having.
