I still cant get out of the sharesale.com sit when I click on it. But I can access FT directly with no probs.

sydsut I had the same problem with FT links.

Solution:- go to the bottom of the page. Click on 'FTC Disclosure'. This brings up a page on which you click on highlight 'opt out of VigLink'. On the next page click on 'Disable VIGLINK'. When 'Enable VIGLINK' appears close the window.

All links should then work until you clear cookies when you have to go through the above procedure again.

The "sharesale" thing is an attachment from Proboards allegedly. They make a cut from every sale that happens directly from the links that come out from the forums they maintain. Presumably it helps to pay for the "free" forums that they control and maintain. I suspect that the sharesale site had a problem when people clicked on the links and caused a halt to the usually invisible process

It's not working for me smifee, viglink reports that it's disabled but link still goes to a shareasale.com blank page ???

I managed to get it sorted by resetting IE11 to defaults,  re-enabling toolbars, enabling my Avast! online security. So I'm not sure what really did the trick but I suspect it has to do with Add-ons. Anyone still having this problem with IE11 should check their settings.

All's well that ends well  and thanks to all for the help.

UPDATE!!! And of course it didn't last long and started to go to sharesale.com site soon after I rebooted. I said to myself, come on you used to be a computer tech. So Bloody Well get It Fixed. That's what I've been doing for the last few hours getting frustrated, a coffee buzz and relying on some heavy vaping to see me through. To cut a long story short this fix should sort it without recourse to changing viglink in the FTC disclosure page as it appears to remove it. Click on the Safety button on the command bar at the top of the IE window and turn on tracking protection. This took me to another screen where I had eventually to download Data from half a dozen or so sites that keep track of sites that are tracking our internet footsteps. Once this is done  go to FTC disclosure and click on Opt Out and the enable/disable dialog is gone. Hope this helps others who've had this problem.

Oh joy, be still my beating heart!!! . The fix is still working and I'm able to access Fasttech from other links on the site.
