You'll be glad you did Tom! Provaris are built of bricks and steel. The guys at Provape (google pbusardo's vid of his walk round the place) are aerospace engineers. They don't do 510 connectors that stick, the threads on their mods are smooooooth, and they can withstand a car driving over them (don't try this at home).

I'm a fan of black Provaris. I don't care that my Kanger Turbo looks like a huge thing on top of it (I run the Provari in 18490 mode), it toots like a frickin train!

I was very very close to getting the black. I have a black kayfun that would look great up there (and black mods just look cool). I am loving the look of that satin finish though Hope its as good in the flesh!

Tom take a bit of time when your new toy gets delivered. When you start changing voltage/wattage you'll be thinking "This is bloody slow!" Have no fear, you can change the scroll speed so it runs through options fast as you like. Enjoy the surprises like I did, turning the wattage up or down and seeing the battery life indicator instantly tell you how much % your battery has left. And the IQ thing, it basically tells you 'clean your connectors! Resistance is high'. It's vaping made easy

Ive watched todd's beta and final version review & PBs several times in the last few days in the deciding on whether it was for me or not. Im going to start with the scroll on the slow side and see if I can master it up to speed 5 in time I came close to buying v1 v2 v2.5 when they came out but always talked myself out of it. No more mods until the p4 now

ALSO! The 510 connector atop the Provari 3 is marvellous. I have NO attys that won't fire on it. One thing to watch though, the screw-off part of the P3 510 can come off with your atty if you wind it on too hard, no fear, it has top and bottom slots that a wide screwdriver will fit in to unseat it from an atty. I found that out by overdoing the threading on a Kayfun. The floating 510 connector is a dream, attys I thought were buggered are coming back to life on it.

My guess is that the guy in the vid wound down the 510 connector too tight to start with. It doesn't need to be too tight, mine is finger-tight. It came off twice when I went full on on Kayfuns (both clones, if that helps) and never on any other attys.
Edit : you can also tell if you've under-tightened the 510 (finger power remember!) because the IQ thing will tell you if the atty to battery resistance is high. Isn't teknolgy marvellous?

Also, when you change the scroll speed EVERYTHING speeds up. Wattage to Voltage. Selecting power level. It's a great design

My pleasure Tom I'm still learning, only had a P3 for a week. But it's a revelation. Someday all mods will be like this.

Thanks Tom for the heads up on the vtcs, I ordered 4 and they arrived today. After charging one went into the P3 and it has been on since 3pm. After midnight now and it still has 48% charge at 7.6w.

Provape recommend AW IMR batteries for the Provari, and lucky me, I have four of them. At 0.9 ohm quad coil 20 watts, they just about last 5 hours. Do I mind? Not really, SAFETY FIRST and I can toot all weekend with a spare 18490
