I was not aware until I saw this thread, I knew there had been treats to other vendors because a certain Swiss company complained about trademark violation. Yes there was a lengthy thread with someone attacking m-vapes claiming selling the cheapest shit and not paying taxes. I saw this thread and thought it was another go at them so was quick to put a stop to it. Seems there are people going around reporting vendors for selling clones, or so I'm told. Seems like we are going to end up heading underground, reminds me of the rave days hahah, And they did not stop us then ||||peace man||||

If we're heading underground there's no way they'll be able to tax us I feel they're getting ready to bundle it all up and hand it to BT!!

If we do head underground, would someone please help me to use the map, I don't like dark tunnels at the best of times.
Seriously though guys, we knew that this was going to happen at some point, but maybe not quite this quickly. What precautions have we taken? Have vendors thought ahead about how they are going to accept payment? Have vapers, not only in this country, thought about how they are going to get supplies?
Another thought - why have Paypal started this process by targetting M-Vapes? Surely they would have had much more clout if they had inflicted this moratorium on Vape Escape or one of the other big players?
Can't provide any answers, but would be interested on your thoughts.

The way "they" are making it for vendors, the only way they are gonna be able to do business is cash in the post and money orders. When you can't get a legitimate payment platform to take your money what options do people have. Shooting themselves in the foot really...

It's not that we need to go underground, more that they are making life more difficult and maybe completely impracticable for an on-line store to operate without PayPal and like banks they have the right to choose to decline their services if they want to. Arguing with these institutions is futile from a small business position. It hasn't happened yet and I don't think it would matter to the larger vendors either.

chykensa my understanding from what I have been told is certain companies are being singled out for selling specific clones and PayPal accounts frozen etc. A FB group I'm in for group buys, the guy organising it had his PayPal frozen as someone reported him for selling counterfeit goods..

I'm more than a little lost here, but would paypal then stop providing a business like heaven gifts or Ali express with their services? And what about companies that sell non vape gear along with vape gear? I can get it that ebay are supposed to have 'banned' e cig sales.......which they blatantly haven't, but are there any indications from any other vendors that they have had similar communications from paypal or other card service providers. Oh, and what about the mobile phone card machines that are coming on stream.......the ones that accept debit etc card payments. As I said, more than a little lost.......

It's not just PayPal, the UKV thread was a mod making supplier that couldn't open a new business account with the major banks. I don't think that PayPal look at accounts unless there is a problem and I don't think banks will close account that already exist.

I am not sure that PayPal/Ebay would or could be discriminating against the sale of copies/clones of equipment when they say that the originals cannot be traded under their auspices either.

Have just read the notice on their website and even if i tried to put it mildly I would still have to swear a lot ......
Pay pal not playing due to (an apparently) non existent copyright issue, and other card payment accounts not playing due to it being an e-cig product ? There must be other card payment accounts out there looking for business surely ? And you would think that pay pal would work to resolve any disputes. Lots of other vendors use pay pal as an option, are they going to be next ?
Think I can see a return to cheque's and postal orders in the near future.
