Why would a bank not want to offer a business an account.......unless they've been given inside info from government that vaping is going to be wiped off the face of the planet which I very much doubt, even WITH big tobacco backing

This must be treated as hearsay, but is what was posted about getting a business account for an e-cig releated business.

My accountant has been baffled with the problems I've been having over the past few weeks so (as a proud vaper himself) wanted to do his own research. After speaking to someone he's close with at it suggests there has indeed been a bit of leaning from government to restrict banks from dealing with e-cig related businesses. Such businesses have been placed in the highest risk category there is and are deemed to be strongly against the ethical policies of banks.

If paypal start messing their users about they will find a different way to pay for goods, hence paypal revenue will fall, I am sure that they will eventually go with the flow

A FB group I'm in for group buys, the guy organising it had his PayPal frozen as someone reported him for selling counterfeit goods..

More and more companies are taking legal action.
Just recently even FT had to remove all the oros clones due to lawsuits.

Ahhhhh, ok, hearsay or not, it's time we got militant

Will be watching closely to see what happens next and to whom, then maybe it will be time for the whole of the vaping community to put differences and preferences aside and start a UK/world wide campaign

I just wish they'd all just pi$$ off and leave us alone.........they get VAT on all we buy......and if they knew how much we spend icon_shoppingm we are all grown ups who are able to make our own decisions about who we buy from and what we buy

That is soooooo hard to believe.

It's all PC bollocks, what about the amount of money saved by the nhs cancer department, they should give us a pat on the back and take the vat off.
Tell the banks that it's more environment friendly than backing the airline companies and glaxo

I'm sure that if the banks are intentially blocking a very public complaint to ombudsman may help.
As surely constructively blocking a legal business is anti competitive and against banking code?

Blimey, only just caught up with this topic on the M-vapes thread - this could be devastating to the whole online e-cig industry if Paypal & merchant account companies take this stand over e-cigs etc

It's a sure way to put a lot of small businesses out of business and get rid of all the online e-cig companies eh. Only brick & mortar ones could survive with taking cash only over the counter.

We'd better all get ready for this and stock up to the hilt

I don't think there is a need for vapers across the UK to panic, it's more like encountering road work on your journey, but for a few small vendors and would be vendors it's very unjust and harsh indeed.
