I dont know how many people rely on a vamo to check the resistance of there coils but I'd advise not to rely on there accuracy. I currently have 3 V5 vamo's as my only vw devices as my hunt for a new mod continues (hint hint mod builders).
Yesterday I had cause to swap a vamo over , it's an OCD thing, anyway the second vamo gave a different reading to the 1st so on to the 3rd vamo and again a 3rd different reading. The three vamos read 1.6ohm 1.8ohm and 1.9ohm. Those differences for me and the way I vape are not major especially in that range but for some, maybe those going low and using the device to check coils it might matter quite a bit.
I'd like to hear other peoples experiences with vamo accuracy. I know they are an inexpensive mod but as it's maybe a buying point for some I thought I'd ask.

JayJ - any gunk on the contacts/threads could affect the resistance reading.

Yes, the V2 vamo always reads the same as the ohm meter, MVP (x2) sometimes read 0.1ohm higher than ohm meter.

Yes, the V2 vamo always reads the same as the ohm meter, MVP (x2) sometimes read 0.1ohm higher than ohm meter. We tend to think the latest version must be the one to get. The SS FT V2 is the old reliable mine had it's birthday a bit ago, threads are still fine and it has a simple menu that can't be improved on. The SS Sigelei ZMax V2 has been out for nearly 2 years and is another good un, solid and good looking.
