Good evening Peeps, I have done one or two single flavour mixes with varying success (I am hoping a good steep might improve some) OK My Main question is this. I use a LOT of menthol juice and I am obviously pretty keen to have a crack at mixing my own. So I have followed Frogster (The Alchemist) tutorial for mixing your own menthol concentrate from crystals Here The result smells like it could strip paint at 30 yards so where would you guys think would be a good starting point for this witches brew? Should I be looking at 2-3% or more like 10-20%?

I'd start low, maybe 5% and then work up rughead121 . . . you can always add a few more drops quite easily if your mix isn't mentholated enough. Just keep a note if you do, so you know for next time.

I make my own Menthol flavour rughead121 - half a pot of menthol crystals from Superdrug dissolved in 30ml of PG. A good shake and 3 seconds in the microwave helps the dissolution. I then use it at about 5% maximum otherwise I would strip my sinuses in one inhalation

rughead121 If you have mixed, dissolved the menthol crystals as recommended, I suggest you use VERY sparingly.... it is a strong Concentrate, very little is needed. As said many times here... You can always add a bit more, but difficult to take it away!
You may want to add a dash or two of other flavouring(s) to smooth it, like cool mint, peppermint, spearmint, ethyl maltol, etc. Kev

Thanks for that Frogster (The Alchemist) I was just about to use it at 5%. I think maybe I will use a bit less

rughead121 i use menthol in a lot of mixes for my sister & myself i make up a small glass bottle that holds 46.5ml with nic base included like this Half a pot of menthol crystals in 5ml of PG microwave for 8 seconds only then put lid on & shake Add 10.5ml PG 12.5ml VG 18.5ml nic base then lid on & shake again. This mix is approx 16mg. To make a 10 ml bottle of e.g cherry menthol i then mix 7ml of cherry then add 3ml menthol, 20ml would be double these amounts. This makes the juices just right without being too harsh with the menthol, if it was not strong enough for you just add 1 drop at a time of the menthol concentrate you have already until you get your desired strength. Hope this helps.

YW chykensa its good for tired mixes or to have a bottle ready mixed so you're not faffing twice when you want to make a menthol mix flavour.
