Do you do it hand tight? Try putting some juice round threads to lube it
Dont have any experience with these but someone who has will pop along

Try wearing rubber gloves - that will improve grip

I've found on occasion that tightening the top section to the glass will release the bottom slightly (different thread pitches). You really don't need to tighten them that tight in the first place, just enough to compress the seals slightly. The seal on the bottom section seals against the inside of the glass, not under it.

I am not to strong myself so don't think I am over tighting and it must be hard for OH not to be able to undo and made effort second time not to over tighten. I shall take your suggestions and keep trying ????

They shouldn't require much force to loosen, try lubricating the threads with a little juice and tighten/untighten it a few times and see if it eases

I've got 10 minis & 1 Nautilus.
Before use I put contralube on the threads of the glass tank and the BVC.
Screwing in the base - when you feel the need to just give it one more turn DON'T.
I managed to get one of my son's Nautilus by putting in the freezer for 30 mins and then using rubber gloves.

I've been using one for the first time for a few days now, I was surprised how tight it was to disassemble out of the box. The trick is to do what smifee said. The bottom silicon seal is compressed inside the tank well before you reach the end of the thread, a good 2 full turns I reckon, so stop before it's tight.

Vape Grips might help you essexsoulgirl, they are brilliant for getting tight clearos etc undone and have got me out of a few sticky situations!
