Afternoon My goodies arrived today from vape escape. Great service! So, spent the morning having a go with it all. I have used one of the two (methol) cartomisers for a bit. I have also, because I was desperate to try the other flavours from the pick n mix, filled each of the 5 kanger cartos with a different flavour each. Is it ok to do it like this, and leave the carts filled with juice for a while? Now, I can obviously tell the difference with all the different juices. But, and this is difficult to describe, when you first inhale they all have the same slightly strange taste. Its not a bad taste, just not a nice one either. The taste then goes a bit over a few puffs. Just wondering if thats just the way it is, or something else is going on (do the cartos need to bed in?!?). Its a similar taste to the smell to the raw liquid itself. The other question is, I bought a drip tip to go on the SD keyring. Its really quite loose, so if I put i in my pocket the tip falls off. Is this normal? I may have already asked this. But, how do I know when I need to refill a carto? I have filled them all up fully, i think, but just wondered how long each will last now. I have read different things. Some suggest not very many puffs at all, and others say it will last fo hours. I appreciate it depends how much you are actually using it. Finally. I am on a night shift tonight and will be taking my goodies with me. I know the battery isnt supposed to last for hours, but if I use it through the night for the equivalent of about 8 cigarettes worth of time, will it last the night? Also, will one cartomiser get me through? Sorry for all the questions again. Thanks.

hehehe I knew this post would come 1. Is is okay to keep your cartomisers pre-filled. 2. The taste does change with new Atomisers and cartridges, atomisers usually have some primer liquid in them so the thing to do is to take a few puffs without inhaling just to get over the initial taste. 3. The drip tip should fir snugly, are you pushing it all the way in? You should not be able to see the o ring on the drip tip. 4. Refilling or topping up is needed when you notice the vapor production starts to fall off or when you start to get a slightly burnt taste. Look at the wadding, it should look moist. Keep it that way. I find an initial fill of a Kanger takes about 30 or so drops then a top up takes about 15 drops. It should not gurgle when you take a puff. If it does, take it off the e-cig and GENTLY blow out the excess into a tissue, replace and away you go. 5. It is difficult to predict how long a battery will last it all depends on how YOU vape. That is why I always recommend people to have 2 batteries, one in use, one on charge or charged as a back up. 6. Figure on a filled cartomiser lasting the equivalent of 5 ciggies, however you will find you use a e-cig in a diferent way to normal smoking as you can take a puff or 2 at any time you don't need to vape a full ciggies worth! As a guide 20 puffs can be considered a cigarettes worth. All the above is very dependant on the individual, you'll need to find things out for your personal vaping habits. Just be smug in the knowledge that you are now not smoking. DO NOT keep apologising!

Another tip is to keep all the litle bags that you get stuff in. I put the cartomiser and liquid I ws using with it in a bag so I don't mix up the flavours. You're doing great so far!

Don, have you removed the white plastic bung from the bottom of the carto before fitting the drip tip? As you only have the one SD Keyring battery, I'd take the charger with you just to make sure you are OK Plus another prefilled carto.

Thank you both for the quick replies.
I think the 'funny taste' is going now or I m getting used to it at least. The taste is more apparent on the inhale and at the front of the mouth, then the real flavour kicks in. Will see how it goes.
All other points noted.
With the drip tip, I just tried it again. I am taking out the bung, then popping the tip in. It fits nicely and the o ring is in the right place and works well, but it's just a little bit too loose still. Not a problem in general, but if it's in my pocket it comes off.
Still testing the juices and keep going through them. Can't decide which ones I like at the moment, but the arctic cherry seems to be coming out on top at the moment. The cherry flavour isn't too strong, and is like real cherries rather than fake sweety cherry flavour.
I also like, in a strange way, the caramel espresso. I think the hubbley bubbley and cocomel are coming last and I am undecided on the 666. Also was given some golden birginia, which I haven't tried yet. The method cartons included with the SDK are ok, but the grizwald stuff is MUCH better.

Don, on most of my cartos, the aluminium drip tip I got from Vape Escape is a good tight fit, but a while back I had a carto it was loose on.

Great going Don! I have lost many drip tips, there's some really nice fancy ones out there at a price, but as I know for sure I'm going to lose them I've given up on them ;-) Looks naff, but I punch a hole in the closed end of one of the carto condoms and just slip that over the mouth end, not as harsh a feeling in your mouth then.

I did see that done on a video somewhere. I'll try that once I inevitably lose the tip (probably tonight at work!)

You seem to be getting on great don. I'd simply echo Des's point that it is worth getting another battery as a backup. Anything with a 510 fitting will work with your cartos and if it's 300mAh or less you can probably use your existing charger. Here are a couple of examples, but there are loads of possibilities: www.safercigs.co.uk/510_Mega_280mAh_Batteries/p705283_4896262.aspxor if you want to stick to automatic: www.vapeescape.co.uk/510-battery-%28automatic%29~22Personally I've also got some different coloured plastic drip tips to use with different flavours - saves having to clean them out every time you change flavours!
