We have rented a big house in Falmouth for xmas week, we'll come over via the tunnel, my brother will be there with his latest flame for xmas dinner/hopefully stay overnight, my parents live in Penryn, so are arranging all the shopping now... My first time back in the UK for over 7 years, fahking loathe the place (UK/Great Britain)and it's small minded politics/taxes. However.... you have to take care of your folks and it's rude not to visit if possible...I'll sort that next year by moving to the US. Have the Xmas you deserve folks......in the words of some dire song I cannot remember..

Thanks Ash, but please don't go to any bother, yours sounds like an older version by your description of things/fittings/extras. The new one looks like it might be handy for me, just thought I'd see if anyone had bought and didn't like it before ordering new. Thanks....... Scoot

We have 2 Asus TF101 Transformers with 1 x shared dock (which hardly ever get's used). Great gadgets for media consumption and web surfing, laptops rarely get opened at home now. The TF101 is the original model of the series which should be reflected in the price, with the 10" screen perhaps more suited to use in the home but I see more and more people carrying large pads out and about. I prefer Android to the closed system of Apples IOS as I can't be bothered with all the "jailbreaking" to get full control of something I own. If that's of no concern millions of users cannot be wrong about the Apple products which my mam in her 70's has mastered!, pricey though.

Have you by chance changed the water in the pool since the new meter went in Lorna?

:-) As it was being phased out out I was flying Heathrow-Bogota on KLM twice monthly, even as a smoker I hated the stink and used to book non smoking seats, walk down to the kitchen area and smoke if a I needed one. As the route wound down, we would overnight in Heathrow airport/hotel with all the pilots and crew before the flight next day, the whole 747 was empty but for us, we had some crazy parties enroute, I had to buy an extra refrigirator in my Bogota apt to accommodate all the freebie miniatures :-)

Whatever kickit, I just lurved the use of the word in that context, like something George Micheal would do in a man's lavatory ;-) Although I must add she told me all this whilst I had an ego/mini vivi nova hanging off my neck on a lanyard filled with radioactive green Murdocks Radiator Pluid. She was simply repeating the company doctrine applied to the masses, she had no intention of stopping me, then again, my company fly me business class, I could walk on with a baby Indian elephant under my arm and they wouldn't turn a blind eye in this climate (exag') ;-)

For the dark winter months and for anyone who has not seen it, down load "The Badge" hours and hours of graphic crime novela with characters you get attached to, if you don't cry at the last episode of season 5 you are drinking way too much Tesco cider and living in the real world, step into the much healthier world of TV fantasy ;-)

Yes kickit, although I do know the actual/literal meaning of recidivist, I also googled it and found google to be wrong in it's bias to crime, google is simply wrong, as are people who believe all they read on the internet. The purser simply echoed with a simpler explanation that if folk see you chugging on that thing they will either freak or spark up a real fag, as is their want, simple really, it's why most hoteliers and publicans will not allow it.

Air France now state in their preflight briefing "the use of e-cigarettes is not allowed", questioned the purser, they are classed as a recidavist (spelling) activity if seen, just be stealthy folks if you have to, we are not bothering anyone if we cannot be seen.
