First mixes - Help please!

Hello all,

New to these forums, and DIY mixing.. Think I may have gone overboard on ordering the concentrates, but once I started I couldn't stop!

I must say after lurking these forums tonight as a guest, I can really see how helpful everyone is here, and it seems like most of your have a lot of experience

The juices I have ordered are all capella, bar 2 or 3.

Menthol, New York Cheesecake, French Vanilla, Sweet Watermelon, Peaches & Cream, Raspberry,
Vanilla Custard, Blueberry Cinnamon Crumble, Banana, Cappuccino, Chocolate Fudge Brownie,
Coconut, Golden Pineapple, Caramel, Juicy Orange, Marshmallow, Peppermint, Spearmint,
Sweet Strawberry, Lemon Lime, Koolada 10%, Sour Cola, Bavarian Cream, Hazelnut, Malted Milk,
Sugar Cookie

Can you point me in the right direction to create a few mixes? I've been using the "eJuice Me Up" calculator, but have recently discovered the one on this site, so might also give that a whirl. Using 72mg VG base nic and 50/50 mix to begin with @ 6mg - I think a few of these flavours might be good to go on their own, and although I have "menthol" capella juice, I will be picking up some menthol crystals and making my own (I like menthol fruits!) - In fact the only thing I can't abide is tobacco flavour (ex-menthol rolling tobacco smoker) I've read a few threads, and don't mind making up a few small batches, or waiting for steep time, but was wondering if you lot had any experience of the capella range and what % I should be expecting to mix at?

Hi clownstyle to the 'family'

I dont use many Capella myself but one mix that jumps out at me is:
15% French Vanilla
3% Peppermint
2% Menthol

I think you'll enjoy it

Welcome to you clownstyle.

Most Capella flavours I aim for an overall 20% concentration, as that suits my taste buds. The exceptions in your list for me would be:

NY Cheesecake
Koolada
Malted Milk
Hazelnut
Menthol

I'd try a few small volume ' standalone ' mixes from some of your other concentrates first, to help you get a feel for your flavours, mixing and what percentages suit you.

1-2% of Koolada or 3-5% Menthol would be good additives for a number of your fruit flavours.

was using capella vanilla custard on it's own at 2% (but then I'm not normal LOL) and it was great....

Now I'm on to UK flavours concentrates.....complete addict to their concentrates LOL

Capella at one time were very popular and people even ordered them from the states before they were available over here so they are good...

If you use the full version of the forum calculator clownstyle you can list your flavours and it will give you just recipes with those flavours. The full version is downloaded from a link at bottom of the forum one. You do need to register and login but it is free and even works on the iPad which the e-juice me up one doesn't.

Q - That does sound lovely indeed!

Perpetua - Yes, I've heard that some flavours can be used as "base" flavours and some are just to be used alongside others, like hazelnut, etc. I've stumbled onto the recipe's now.. There are lots of them! I'll try and aim for a 20% of my plain fruits, with some koolada and menthol ! Thanks for the tips!

@johanino - I bet it lasts you a long time mixed @ 2% though! I had seen you mention that in a previous post I was lurking

babs - I didn't know that, and it sounds awesome!! Will download the full one now

So I ordered my full kit, and it didn't come with any 1ml syringes! I would have thought these were essential to get the mix bang on the money, so I'm off out to get some today... I've heard they sell them in Maplins of all places!

I went to Maplins first and they looked at me very strange when I asked where their 1ml syringes were.. Almost like I was going to jack up in their shop! Boots had some in the end, luckily I managed to stock up on some VG, menthol crystals and get the syringes in one trip. Also have my new delivery of concentrates and about to mix something up!

Yay go clownstyle....

I have a 1ml oral syringe and I don't know how long I've had it bar it's blue and gotten from a chemist yonks ago.....the numbers have never rubbed off and it's an essential part of my mixing kit
