Hi All,
Been a while since I have been here but now it's time for some more advice.
I had a VAMO but the buttons gave me problems after a while so I tried a couple of Vision Spinners. These are now failing, the bottom twists all the way round despite being careful with them, and they no longer have much life in them.
As I have a good nitecore charger I guess its time to go back to a mod but I am put off by the VAMO so was considering a Lava Tube 2 (not 2.5) or a Cool Fire. Any thoughts anyone?
Cheers

@secretsquirrel if you can put up with the size and weight I would go with a vtr. The only caveat is to buy an original smoke airflow controller, not for airflow but to screw really firmly into the vtr's threads to protect them (a well known weakness)

VTR is indeed a solid beast, but if you use higher resistance coils may I dare to sugget an iStick.
Don't write the vamo off just yet though. At a shade over a tenner it's still a good investment, even if you only get a few months out of it.

@secretsquirrel - As mentioned above the VTR is a pretty tough mod apparently, or if you prefer the tube style something like a Nemisis (with a kick if you don't want pure mechanical) but the mod of the moment seems to be the istick. Internal battery though and though I don't have one myself - and I reckon that puts me in the minority - they are getting some pretty rave reviews on here bar a few usb socket problems. Have a quick search and your bound to stumble on one off the many istick threads. Good luck with whatever you get

You know what I'm going to say @secretsquirrel
Mine has lasted over 6 months and I got the air flow controller pretty early on.
The price is going down and down and they won't be around for ever with Innoken doing new mods recently
Get the cheapest in the UK and you won't regret it!!!!
I was formerly the 'mod destroyer'. also sell your vamo before you kill it! I just look at vamos and they die LOL

...so was considering a Lava Tube 2 (not 2.5) or a Cool Fire. Any thoughts anyone? Lava tubes can be good. A Lavatube from the nice people (insert sarcasm) at Volcano is a joke price though. Coolfire 1 is set to 8.5watts and might work nicely with some atomizers, but not much use for mini Nautilus, unless 8.5 is your sweet spot.

Thanks for all the replies folks, after much deliberation I have gone for the istick as it seems so popular. Now I have been using a protank since day one, my theory is if something works why change it. BUT the vaping tec seems to be constantly changing so do you think I should try something else?

Big thumbs down on the istick from me. Buy a 2nd hand provari mini, or a dna30 mod

I personally am not a huge fan of the protanks though takes all sorts Yes there are fancier tanks and clearos out there but I go for the alternative to a protank - a davide mega but I think they are discontinued (the one on p-vaper is not the same) So if it 'aint broke don't fix it!!!!

Try adding an airflow controller to your protank. It's cheap(£2-£4) and makes a huge difference to your vape.
