I've only just seen myepack recall thread on the vendors board, thanks Ash. I'm posting this here so more people may see it. The same charger has been sent out in the istick kit from other vendors - Toby I-vapour elixir please can you confirm that you will refund/ replace - this charger was purchased as an 'add on' when buying the istick. Hopefully more vendors will follow myepack lead and issue a recall on the forums if not contact buyers directly. EUROPA - Consumer Affairs - Unsafe products

Just goes to show that, in many cases. CE means "Chinese Engineered" !! Or more accurately 'China Export'. There was a lot of hoo-ha about this when they first started doing it, but it's now a registered mark in China so there's nothing can be done . Like a lot of China stuff unfortunately. Very profitable for market traders but no good to the end users. One of my bug-bears (can't you tell)!!

The bottom line is that only around 1 in 10 UK Mains Adapters that come supplied with kits from China are actually compliant/safe.
So - all those mains adapters that you receive in kits from Fastech etc are better considered as freebies and disposed of straight away.
Take a look around vendors sites and see how many offer the adapters with kits - not many, simply because of the above.
Compliant Mains Adapters are expensive - so are usually offered separately - so as not to increase the cost of the kit unnecessarily.

Forget buying from the discount shops on the high street too (poundland). You're taking your life in your hands, make a wise decision!!
