I bought my ultrasonic cleaner via AliExpress from a company called HeHui E Shop who now seem to have disappeared. It worked great... TWICE, then the third time I used it BANG and smoke poured out, I contacted the company... nothing, I tried again... nothing, I then contacted AliExpress and asked for their help, they were going to "warn" the company to reply to messages. I had a reply yesterday Looking into it further it seems that I am responsible for return shipping costs, the cleaner only cost £19 in the first place so what's the point? I have replied thus So now the company doesn't sell on AliExpress I'll put it down to experience but please be aware that although most of the companies we deal with are OK there are the odd one or two that will rip you off, and AliExpress with their great 'Buyer Protection' is NOT the comfort zone that I for one envisaged This is the cleaner, if you intend buying one from ANYWHERE make sure you have decent buyer protection (and a fire extinguisher)

The internet is just a nightmare of bad firms, I do not know if AliExpress is associated with AliBaba, because we have problem with them, getting inundated with mails through them saying we would like to buy your product ! we are an english company with no web sales, yet if I try to contact Alibaba I have to sign into my account that I have not got, to much bad out there.

Must admit, I write off anything I buy from China for this very reason, cost of return. To be fair, the vendor has offered a full refund which I would expect to be return costs too. Not many vendors will refund without the return of faulty goods

That's what I thought, until you read the small print So full refund £18.98 less return shipping costs, I'd have to have signed for because you can almost guarantee that without it 'it wouldn't arrive'

Ah! But I thought DSR meant they had to pay back return costs? Its a real shame Q but probably not worth fighting vendor about. I got one off maplins eBay site recently. If I didn't use it, I'd chuck it your way

I dont think China worries too much about DSR Thanks @spikeyfridge the thought is lovely, I've heard that Lidl have some coming up very soon so I might have to do a 30 mile round trip & have a look (or talk one of my customers to pick one up on their way through )

Sorry to here that QThat's where they get us, because they know it's not economical to return stuff to them I lost £200 on a tablet that stopped working after three months. Contacted company arranged to send it back £23 International Signed For. That was ten months ago Contact stopped after a while, even though they admitted receiving the tablet back, and was just a stream of excuses on when it would be returned. No refund or replacement ever received. Never trust trustedbuyonline.com

Latest update from David Liang
This is after threatening to expose him on here and various Facebook groups, and then contacting AliExpress online help. I'll believe he'll refund when I see it BUT it proves that it can pay to dig your heels in

That's a good point Chrissie have we got a David Liang on our books? Not yet Seriously though, the one Lidl's is going to be selling looks the same as the one I bought from Aldi a couple of years ago & it's brilliant.Same as Aldi, with them being a German company, they give a 3 year warranty on all electrical items. Q are you going to the Cornwall meet up on 6th? If so, I can get one from Lidl's for you & bring it along to the meet

We only have an Aldi in Liskeard, I know that the stuff follows from one brother to the other but you never know WHEN, and I could do with a replacement quite soon, do you want me to paypal over to you or pay you on the day? Oh and we've only got a vape shop in Liskeard now.... YellowVape, its part of Vape Escape and looks like your usual ecig shop from the website, I'll pop in soon and teach them about vaping

No problem at all Q - aprt from trying to figure out when the St. Austell Lidl's will have them - it's not that clear on their website. If I do manage to get me one, just pay me for it at the meet up If the new shop in Liskeard is part of Vape Escape, it should be good
