New to forum. Found the forum with my search for a box mod, came across a custom made item that interested me a lot. Still unsure as to if I can afford it or not.
Finished cigarettes last Christmas with some throw away cigalikes. Quickly got a itazte MVP from fast tech and have been using that since. Recently I have been searching for a box mod to suit some rda's, Im very new to it all but have gathered a little understanding from the amount of searching done. I did buy a IPV 3 from Liberty Flights however they got recalled, I enjoyed it for the week I had it although the battery life did seem a little short.
I have been looking for a new vapour shark rdna40 at a reasonable price although the shipping times seem to none existent.
Anyone that could express an opinion on a mod to purchase would be appreciated. I wouldn't have thought id need anything past 50w?
Lastly I know very little about mech mods, don't really understand there power output as it isn't stated, I assume they can handle rda's but unsure. Any info would be great.
Anyhow, pleased to be here and look forward to using the forums.
Cheers Mack

mack you have found the right place to spend the money you thought you could save being off the stinkies icon_shoppingm Congratulations on your near one year stinkie free. I can't offer any advice as I am new to all this but I have just received two DNA30 clones today that suit my magma and kayfun lite better than they looked on the istick. The istick is great for things like nautilus mini and protanks / aerotanks. I am sure someone with more knowledge than me will be able to guide you better, but welcome aboard.

Thank you for the welcome Red. I'm extremely grateful for ecigs due to not really wanting to quit, just something I had to do due to 2 very young children, had tried many other methods to no avail. On a negative I really do love vaping now and cant see me giving it up to soon. Whilst I am very interested mostly in the diy rda's and mods there is just so much out there, bit of a mind field to know where to spend my limited cash. Where did you purchase your dna30 clones from if I may ask?

mack, if you are going to go down the road of mech mods you really need to check up on ohms law and buy the appropriate batteries. If you are considering using coils below 1 ohm you need to buy high drain batteries for your own safety. Guess you'be seen Mev box mods, these are regulated by chip so the previous is not so relevant. to the forum from me!

I bought them from aliexpress in their 11th November sale day from a company called kloud, £15 each. They have taken 17 days to get here but for that price it was worth the wait. Have a look at fasttech, focalecig and aliexpress off the top of my head will probably have the best prices. Check feedback as quality varies on the clones and I bought the batteries from myepack as I don't want to take the risk with knock off batteries.

Any mod that I have been interested in I have looked into what battery is recommended and lowest ohm and what not. I bought 5 battery's when I got the IPV 3, however 2 of them were shorter than necessary although I couldn't figure out why, they all appeared 18650's however they had less mAH. Do you happen to know how I would indicate the length when looking? I have seen the Mev box mods, they are the very ones that brought me to the board. They look and sound amazing, however its a large outlay for me with present circumstances. Random unneeded fact: My parents live in Chudleigh but are looking to move closer to your location of Newton Abbot.

mack , I am not really knowledgeable about batteries, however I do know that the sizes vary slightly, particularly button top and flat top. Hope your parents find a nice home in downtown N.A. I live in a big maisonette (rented) right next to the famous clock tower.

welcome mackI've had the rdna40 for a day so I'm no expert or anything but its friggin amazing using the temp control with nickel. Its well worth the 150 notes if you can save for it. From experience you can't go wrong with getting it from VE Jason, I think he went out of stock in 1-2 days but is due some back in soon. hope that helps

But that's gone from 20 days from pre order to unknown. + mostly because now I have seen mevs mod and for me you cant compare the look of that for an extra £10. I blame stupid Christmas for me not spending money on myself.

Hi mack and a very warm from me too. Can't comment on the DNA40's but just acquired a pre-loved vapourshark DNA30 and I love it. Although I'm not a massive cloud chaser and generally stick to my KFLs with a 1.2ish ohm coil, so am not really putting it through it's paces, but it is a beautiful little piece of equipment.
