Im looking at buying another couple of ego batteries and and on TW came across the Tornado Mega Dual Coil Cart. Now I got confused because it gave me a choice of ohms. Can anyone tell me what the differences are as I am quite clueless at the moment. Thanks

The lower the ohms, the lower the resistance = the harder the throat hit Tam From Rochdale I notice, Heywood here

Ego batteries are regulated to 3.2 volts. So you want to match up the ohms (resistance) to the voltage of the battery you have. For 3.2v you're really wanting a minimum of 2.5ohms or it'll be too cool a vape. I prefer around 2ohms for an ego as I'm used to higher voltages. For dual coils it's a little more confusing as the final resistance they advertise it is the combined resistance over two coils. So you have two 3ohm coils in parallel or series (I forget which now) for a total of, say the 1.5ohms advertised. I've used 4 dual coil cartos on my ego batteries, every single one was pitiful so I can't say dual coil cartomisers are great and I really don't understand the hype around them at all whatsoever. You can likely get any kind of cartomiser much cheaper from liberty-flights.co.uk compared to totallywicked liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=120 dual coils at liberty-flights To sum up, for single coil cartos you want 2.5ohms for a warm vape and closer to 2.0+ for a hot vape. For dual coil cartos...eh... I don't think they're great but it's the combined resistance of two coils so it's different.

Dual Coils I find are better used at higher voltages, then you can see why Vapers rave on about them, 3.7v doesn't really do them justice or realise the full potential of them IMHO. I'd suggest Kangers or Boge cartomiser's on Ego Batteries Tam, not Dual Coils.

Thanks for the info. So the for a better hit I should go for 2.0 ohms. And hi Jason, no doubt I will be seeing you sometime in the very near future.

A CE2 at around 5v is all I need so my dual coils are probably going to rust before I buy something that can handle the wattage needed. Definately wouldn't recommend them for an ego in any case.

They give a cracking good vape on Garry Dibley's Pass Through at 5v's or a Darwin at 4.5v's Leftfield . . . what do you use your CE2's on?
I'd personally go for the 2omhs Tam, you'll get a better performance/hit from them.

Way out of my price range I used to use them on a ego with an ego booster, but that's like an ego with a cake tin ontop that's really liable to falling apart so it wont be going outside anymore I use them on the lavatube but I might as well have gotten a 5v mod because I almost always have it at 5v. If it had a higher amp limit I guess my dual coils wouldn't suck so bad on it too but I'm really not that fussed for them.

Tam, all I'm going to add is that almost everything you see on TW's website, you should be able to buy much cheaper elsewhere

Yeah I know the prices are quite high. I will look out for the 2 ohms. Hopefully I`ll get used to all this jargon soon. All I started off with are some cartomisers and the ego battery which my uncle gave to as he as usual over bought. Then I just bought a couple of extra batteries, some carts and some juice. Me not knowing that it is a big world out there that I know nothing about. Lol. Its nice to see a couple of northerners on here Warload.

There really are a lot better deals to be had on gear than TW offer as has been said Tam . . . plus on the Supplier's Board there's a discount code thread, for an extra saving. You're not kidding about the vaping jargonese, it's like learning a foreign language!
