aha! we share the same mantra there davetherayon "Debt is Evil!" If I don't have the actual cash in my hand, i don't buy In fact I didn't own a credit card until my mid 30's and I only got one for my charitable ticket touting as I tend to bulk buy theatre/arena tours in multi orders (but the money is back within teh month and bill paid) So although I have credit card, my hard and fast rule is full payment on next statement that way you can never live above your means p.s please don't mention 'home brew' it takes me back to those halcyon teenage years when my pal robbed one of her dads homebrew elderberry wine .... she has no recall until she came to in a cold bath of water and I attempted my GSCE english paper whilst heavily under the influence ( I resat it as I think my grade was abysmal?)

I must be the odd one out. I don't drink but I do feel that home here! I think you will find that quite a lot of AAEC Members don't drink. (Well not alcohol anyway). I had my last drink in 1986. I saw that my drinking was causing others close to me, anxiety and some pain and that was a good reason to stop.
Now that we are both retired, between the non drinking money and the savings from vaping, we actually bank some of our pension monies each month.
