We got snow last night - photo added

Yeah, we've got snow so I've changed my avatar to reflect the snow landing last night.

Must have landed on our famous highest mountain (Mount Teide) during the night's bad weather. It's the only snow we'll ever see over here

Yeah, survived the storm but still don't know about the rest of the island though. Can't get any Canarian or Spanish TV channels, they're all down, tried getting channels via internet and aerial but nada

With a palm tree or two & a lovely blue sky, it looks perfect & far enough away.

A friend of mine lives the other side of that mountain and very high up too. She will have a fantastic view and will see more snow than is in my photo as she can see one hell of a lot of that mountain. The other side will be covered in the white stuff.

It'll be a lot colder up there where she lives as well. One November I spent the weekend at her house and my God did I freeze, it was worse than being in the UK. I'd gone from boiling hot in the South to freezing cold temperatures in the North brrrrrrrrr. I only ever visit her place in the summer months now

Sounds good to me, but where's your sense of adventure, toots, as bikini skiing could be the new thing!  OK, salopettes might be a better idea.
