So my Bud tank Riva has arrived, yippie!! do I really need to charge it for 8 hours I cant wait to try it out. For all those scared of the size, yes it is a little larger than the cigalikes and a little wider than the 510 mini's but it really isn't as gigantic as I thought it would be! And a special thank you to Steve at eCigsforYou for exceptional service, advice and delivery times and freebie *thumbs up*

No just go ahead and use it, putting the other battery on charge while you do.

That was my thoughts exactly!! question, I've nearly finished the juice on one of by buds can I vape it till the juice runs out and change flavour or should there always be some juice in the bottom, dont want to ruin the tank but want to try another flavour. I followed the rinsing suggestion the other day and lets just say, I dont think it worked for me and I will need some practice!!

I followed the rinsing suggestion the other day and lets just say, I dont think it worked for me and I will need some practice!! Hi Mrsmac, So glad your kit has arrived. I normally try to refill the Buds before they get totally empty. To change the flavour, I would wait until the liquid is just below the wick. Then give it a wash out. Try to blow as much of the water out as you can after washing. It can take a while for the new flavour to replace the old one, especially if the old one was quite strong. I tend to keep to Buds on the go. One for menthol and the other for RY4. I did wash out a menthol one last night for Bel because she wanted to try a new RY4. It took a full tank of RY4 before the menthol taste totally went away. Please let me know if you have any problems. Steve.

Thanks Steve, tried that yesterday and as you said it takes a while for the water to disapear and to get the taste of the juice, I may just use a new one to try a different juice, wash out my regular one and leave it to dry before refilling as opposed to refilling straight away, that way I can try out some of my new juice goodies!

Evening all, didn't want to start a new thread and hog up the board so I am hoping this will be bumped in the hope someone will see.
Manual batteries! Ok, so I am trying here but its not making sense! I am still using the bud atomizer and the ego batt. The first days of using the tank it went well, had a great menthol tobaco with a hint of sweetness. Today all I am getting is menthol, so I tired something different with the same tank and juice and am getting a different flavour! So question is, when using a manual battery do you press and hold before you inhale or press and hold as you inhale, I ask because when I hold before inhale I get sweetness and when I press and inhale I get little flavour. Am I doing it right? And when will I know a tank is dead?

Personally!!! I press the button maybe one second before I puff. I think that the extra second of heating the atomiser is what's giving you more flavour. We all develop our own habits, though - it's literally "suck it and see", and one man's meat can be another man's poison. It sounds as though you are getting on rather well - don't hesitate to have a whinge if you need to

general consensus with a manual battery is to press it for about half a second before taking a drag. The Buds should last about a week before needing replacing, they do "age" and the vape changes the longer you use them, sometimes they clog a bit especially with some sweet ejuices. I went away form the Buds cos I found they leaked on me and they were hard to clean if the pull started getting light or "airy" (not much vapor).

Hi mrsmac,
Some people press the button early, others only once the bud is in their mouth. I normally push the button once it is I start to draw on the Bud, Bel always presses the button before hand.
I've not had a Bud totally die on me yet. Normally they will start to wimp off after a few days. I normally get a good week before I replace them now. Sometimes they can go longer. It depends on the Juice a lot as well. They do seem to last longer with plain menthol, rather than darker / thicker liquids.
I also keep more than one going at a time. One for menthol and one for RY4. This saves me hitting one all the time.

As Scylla & Des says, press & hold for second before taking a drag & then press & hold while taking a drag
