Hey just a post regarding my kangertech ego charger. Now it works fine with the 1600 mah battery it came with but I received today a new 1000mah battery ( kangertech evod) , and it's not workings. Constant red light on the ego charger . Any suggestions of what the problem is?

When I charge my evods the light on the charger stays red until they are nearly charged when it goes orange and then green

On three of my egos, the charger flashes red/green very slowly and then faster as they fully charge. On one the charger stays red until completion. Could it be a "clone" thing [maybe different board?].

To charge you should plug it in to the power and then screw in the battery till it lights up, if you're doing that and it goes to the red light, then leave it and see if it goes green after the required amount of time?

As above would indicate that it needs charging but i've had them flash when they're charging then go soild red when done or vice versa, some changed colours as they charged.

It usually stays red and flashes green while charging on my 1600mah battery, but with new battery it's just constant red. I'm not sure what's wrong.

My evods stay red until fully charged then go green, how long have you left it to charge?

Just a thought, but it might not be making a connection with the charger, so it could be worth raising the centre pin to see if that makes a difference.

Haven't left it to charge yet due to it arriving just as my other battery ran out. So been using the new 1, but as stated above the ego charger lit up different as usual when I did connect the new 1 up for a min.

Had a couple of egos in the past which all showed a solid red light which changed to green when fully charged but when connecting my ego twists the led would display exactly the same as yours using the same charger with an intermittent green flash every second or so. As stated above it'll probably be down to different charging boards in them. Think the flashing green light when the twists were connected meant something like battery monitoring or some such thingymebob but the old egos always charged correctly too so wouldn't think it's anything to worry about my good chap

If you only left it for a "min" it really would be a good idea to leave it on charge for a lot longer

I think it is most likely due to the fact that different boards inside the batteries cause the charger to behave in different ways. Leave it to charge for a respectable amount of time - 4-6 hours - and see if it turns green after that. I have 3 Spinners and they all behave differently on the same charger, if that corroborates the above
