I joined up this month and my first gold box turned up yesterday (took 8 days). Just a shade under £38 with the 10% dizzy code. 6mg strength and no customs charges (Zample mark the box at $16 value which is nice).
I like the concept and £40 for c.150mls of branded US juice seemed like a good idea. Would be an even bigger bargain if the shipping cost wasn't half of what the box cost (bloody Americans get an amazing deal). Now I have more than enough home made juice to last me until this time next year but my current vape spending fetish has returned to new flavour chasing (yup I am not buying anymore kit for a bit, honest, happy with my mods, happy with my Silo Tanks and mini nautili - I need not for new stuff) and this appears to be a great way to 'zample' lots of new flavours.
Now whatever else you think about it they certainly have presentation nailed:
You can't see it in the picture but the juice came in a pair of nice green net jewellry type bags - nice touch.
Now I had read that the flavour profiles were still in beta this month (which appears to be code for - 'not working') so it was a relief that there was nothing in the box that I would not consider even trying (i.e tobacco flavours - I don't do tobacco, yes I am aware how silly that sounds from someone who smoked for near enough 17 years but I don't anymore) and the majority fell firmly in the fruits category which are my usual vape of choice. This of course may well be luck as a quick scour of the internet reveals plenty of Zample family members bitching that their box was full of fruit flavours which is not what they indicated on their flavour profiles - maybe Zamplebox just had a lot of fruit juices this month.
I did think however that it was a little cheeky that whilst I did receive the promised 11 bottles, one of them was a 5ml bottle of menthol concentrate - sorry Zample but I signed up for premium and pricey US juice not for cheap as chips concentrate - I can get that for a couple of quid from Chefs Vapour and get double the amount. However the 10 bottles that did contain juice I had 8x 15ml bottles, 1x10ml and 1x30ml. So that 160mls of branded juice for £37. Still quite a good deal then.
So what did I get?
Banzai - Milk Plus - caramel and milk apparently - 15mls
Banzai - Bat County - Peach, dragonfruit and cream - 15mls
Asteroid Vapour - Gravity - Banana custard - 15mls
Keystone Vapour - Neshaminy Creek - Pear, Coconut and menthol - 15mls
The Standard Vape - Thumper - Grape and blueberry - 30mls
Omega Vape - Breeze - Cantaloupe and Peach - 15mls
G2 Vapour Prime - Gilligans Island - Tropical fruits and coconut milk - 15mls
Lick - Calypso - Strawberry and Watermelon Lemonade - 15mls
Ave - My Hood - fruit loops (what on earth are fruit loops?) - 15mls
Goodlife Vapour - Fairy Blood - Aniseed and fruit - 10mls
And the 5mls of menthol drops - oh well
I'm going to do a flavour a night to keep the interest going - I may even update this post with my ongoing thoughts (y'know maybe I should have put this in the reviews section - might have been idea before I started to write an essay). Anyway without further ado
I decided to start with
Banzai - Bat County Now this is from Banzai's dripping range apparently - so its 80/20 VG/PG. And my it is thick, and gloopy and yes thick. Now I don't drip so the first question is will the stuff wick in my nautilus? The answer thankfully is yes - the occasional primer puff was needed to get a decent blast of vapour and flavour but after a slightly hit and miss few puffs the wick got fully saturated and we were off.
The juice smells sweet and well quite peach like. And it tastes - well a lot like peaches - peaches in a cocktail maybe - in fact there is more than a hint of sex on the beach here (the drink not anything else). Its sweet but not sickly sweet and there is a creamy note in there. The vapour is thick and satisfying - well it is 80% VG. Throat hit - well this is 6mg 80% VG juice being vaped in a tank so what do you think the throat hit is going to be lol. There is a little there to be fair, but only a tickle and in all honesty a tickle is all I want these days - as my nic % has dropped so has my tolerance for having my throat sand papered when I'm vaping. Lets just say I no longer crave it, although I do like to know I'm vaping and not just inhaling air. This manages it nicely.
It would be too sweet for me for an all day vape (and during the day time I only normally carry the one tank so no good at all for out of the house all day vaping) but for an evening lazing on the sofa, well the 2ml capacity of my nauti was gone before I went to bed - I will be back for some more.
Good start then.
Day 2 and its:
The Standard Vape - ThumperOoh so this is the big bottle so better hope I like it. Its a promising description for me - I like blueberry, I love grape juices - its claims to be both sweet and tart at the same time. I likes that idea too.
And this one is a real winner, as you inhale you get the sweetness of the blueberry and then it turns to the sharpness of the skin of a black grape which comes to the forefront as you exhale. Its a 50/50 number which is my mix of choice and I'm getting lots of vapour and lots of flavour - yay. It reminds me a lot of Pink Spots Ultra Violet (another favourite of mine) but with a kick. Throat hit is there from the grape I think but again its mild enough to be pleasant for me. I'm liking this one a lot - so much intact that I've already refilled once this evening and I suspect I'll be vaping this one all day tomorrow. Definitely a winner.
So thats one good and one great juice so far - promising beginning....
