For those who have tried both, what are the pros and cons of each? I was looking at the aerotank V1, what is the benefit of the V2 (look like more difficult coils to recoil)? Then the Emow mega caught my eye and now I can't decide I have a horrible feeling it will be one of each icon_shoppingm

I've not tried the Emow reddragon so can't comment on that, but both versions of the Aerotank use the same coils. The old style coils are the ones you really want, as they are easier to recoil, but both types of coil work in both of them, as do the single coil protank style coils with a second grommit on the top. The V2 airflow control is better as it's easier to control and is less prone to sticking.

Thanks lairey so it is the airflow that is the difference between v1 & 2. Just need to get some views on the emow

I've got the aerotank V1 and the emow mega. The aero uses the Protank coils I can recoil, single coil and I just put an extra flavour wick on top of the coil before I put the chimney back, same grommet, normal way down and it works fine. The emow, however uses those coils that I haven't yet tried to dismantle cos they look totally different, however, I have thought about swapping for a different coil but not done it yet. Just ordered some spare coils for it today! I do like the tank though, seems to work well for me, but tbh I prefer ones I can recoil and wick with cw. Not much help, sorry, but the emow tanks do look nice, especially the blue one on my blue iStick! And they fit the vtr. Bonus.

sleedale I did think a black, blue and silver emow would coordinate lovely with the black, blue and silver isticks. Need to check out if the emow will take the old style kanger coils.

I use the older type airflow controller on my protank3 - because it + protanks are polished.
I use the v2 slotted airflow controller on my aerotank as it's brushed and so is the tank! ( Yes it does matter to me ) haha

reddragon sorry for the delay. I've just put a PT2 home made coil in the emow and it's working fine.......happy it's working but gutted also, just bought 5 of the blummin things cos I never thought to try ordinary PT coils. Vapes well on the iStick with good airflow control too. No idea if these photos will work, and they will probably be sideways or upside down but you get the idea. I do like these emow tanks, but sadly mainly because they are nice colours.....airflow control is good too

Yup, it's the emow mega, I also have a couple of PT2s, one with airflow controller version 2, one without. It's better with the AFC I think but cos I use the vtr with the smok AFC to protect the threads I sort of use that if I use the PT without an AFC ........if any of that makes sense......its late.....ish.....and I waffle......a lot
