Hallo folks, I am not very tec' minded, hence I could do with a bit of advise please. I have a Kamry K 1000 pipe running on an 18350 battery. I could not get on with the supplied tank, top wicked, so bought two Aspire Nautilus tanks, with bottom coils. As I had bought 10 spare coils, just as well as I went through them like lightning, I decided to re-coil and wick them as and when necessary, using a small plastic tool bought for the job. My question is, to date I have been using Kanthal A1 .25 gauge wire with 9 turns on the coil, with, I think great success. I have just acquired 50 miles (just kidding) of Kanthal A1 .32 wire, now as the .32 will only accept 6 coils in the coil holder because it is a shade thicker, would it drain the battery faster, or do any damage to the mod wiring in the bowl of the pipe. I have been getting about 2.10 ohms with the .25 but the .32 is reading about 1.50 ohms. Would the latter mean the .32 is less resistant to the currant and there for will heat up quicker and hotter. Sorry if the question is naughty step stuff but was hoping some kind soul would put me straight, regards, Gel.

Yes the thicker wire should heat up quicker and be hotter. And the lower resistance may require more power but will give more vapor.
I recoiled a bvc nautilus coil with .35 wire and it cane out at 1.3ohm and vaped much better than the .25 build in my opinion.
As to whether it will damage your mod I have not used a pipe but wouldn't imaging that it would cause a problem.

.25 gauge is thicker than .32 gauge wire Gel .25 = .455mm .32 = .202mm Use steam ohm Calculator and it will tell you heat flux and heating capacity www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp

Thanks guys, I thought the flavour of the liquid was a bit better to, thought it might be just me, and because I had been tinkering. Thanks for link to chart, that will keep me off of the streets for some time typing in different combinations. Many thanks guys, kind regards, Gel.
