Small box mod help for OH

Sat here thinkingsmileyand this morning. It's not me, its MrMac. I posted a couple weeks back about his istick playing up via the centre pin. He actually managed to fix it with an oring under the pin itself and everything was fine. He even carried out the same fix for the rest of his isticks and all was well...until yesterday.

He came home from work gave me my ususal greeting hug and stank of smoke. I asked what happened and he said the tank wouldnt make connection again. He said he was fed up and all day at work was trying to fix it. The washer seemed to have squashed and the pin once again was not making contact. This morning a text from him saying its done the same again. Its his xmas work do tonight so I guess that means more

Anyhows onto my question, I really dont want him to loose heart as he is doing so well but we need another device, probably with an adjustable pin. He has a zmax mini but wont use that now after being spoiled with the size of the istick, so I've narrowed it down to two possibly.

The ipv 2 mini or the cloupor mini. Obvisouly the ipv is out already and the cloupor on presale (i have one on order for me but wont see it till probably feb) any other ideas of a small form factor that I may have missed?

hmmm Tom i am looking into the ipv mini, not so much info out there, i know he will say the mvp is too big as i have one and he wouldnt be seen dead with it! so i think i will look into the ipv mini against the cloupor (bottom of the list due to wait time) and the VS (although waaayyy out of my budget!)

Buy him a set of those Kenny Everett "brotherly love" hands then any mod will look small !!

Mrsmac I've just seen this on Fasttech:

Takes a separate 18650 battery, almost same size as the istick

I've not seen the internals of an iStick but there's a very good chance the center pin could be swapped out with one from a fatdaddy vapes connector, giving you a good spring loaded pin. Would need to desolder/resolder the wire though.

I'll be re modding the pins on my 2 istick as the both suffer same issues as mrmacs. Is a real bad design flaw with the istick
Hopeing to fit a fat daddy Vapes one In or a varitube one. Will need to do some measuring and re jiggering in the new year.

Well he seems to have fixed it again, the washer had moved so he found something to shove it back under there...definately umming and arring over the cloupor read some not good reviews of the company but not worried about over specification too much having used an istick lol just wish i could cancel the order with the other company and get from ft, VS is also on the radar...oh choices choices
