Hmm - something odd here.... www.fasttech.com/products/0/10007667/1677404-sale-pa-ps-style-18650-mechanical-modThis is the "PA-APS 18650 mechanical mod" and it's GBP sale price is £9.38 www.fasttech.com/products/3027/10007667/1830400And this is the full kit for the "Brass + Stainless Steel Mechanical Mod (Full Set)" for a normal GBP price of 11.54 Soon after they first listed the GP Paps clone they pulled them due (I think) to StattQualmesque threat of littigation and pretty soon afterwards listed non-descript mechanical mods which were... Pricing was on par. I'm not sure which way round this is playing. They could be knocking out the old 18650 mod at a reduced price and brought down the no name full kit without listing them as sale or they could have naturally reduced the no-names and then marked down the previously withdrawn now oddly renamed tube at a corresponding price called it sale because it was cheaper before... I'm pretty sure the single tube was originally in the GBP 12 mark and full kit around GBP 14 Nonetheless, it's worth watching the accumulation of sale items. Good find. |

Just checked and I bought the Paps (SKU 1677404) for $15.38 back in May.
Good buy, button good as gold.

+1 for the Astro mod, got a ss/brass and a gold one for nearly a year now, good solid reliable mod imho, the ss/brass one in daily use for work, never let me down Ordered... what's your turntable mate? i got a rega at the moment but fancy a gyrodec. J.A. Michell Hydraulic reference / SME 3009 SII/ Shure V15 mark 3, bought from new about 40 years ago, still going, one case when analogue is better. Michell made the gyrodec after the Hydraulic |
