Well, a funny thing happened yesterday morning. Kids came down and were opening their presents, socks and pants and suchlike. Eldest was in the kitchen making the coffee and I was watching the kids' disappointed little faces trying hard to be enthusiastic. When they trudged back upstairs to try their underwhelmingly received pants and socks on .... there were MORE presents on their beds which hadn't been there when they woke up! Their loud cries of excitement, as the wrapping paper floated down the stairs, were a pure joy to hear!
