Had to turn off all this xmas snow, flickering colours etc, i have a high end computer with lots of ram, memory etc but this background animation is/was the cause of my fan speeding up when on this site, so turned it off and fan is running as it should again now.

I think the snow has been turned off by a member of the staff. It was here earlier but now it's gone. Flash is a wonderful thing, but yes it gets greedier every day.

Just checked. Snow is on for the default theme, but not on the theme I use. Haven't checked the others tho

Sadly I've had to do the same richo71 as it was doing funny things to my laptop . . . the lovely Christmas effect is only on the default theme. It's straightforward enough to change to another ' theme ' by going into your profile and editing your settings to one of the others, then saving. I'm currently using the Blue theme, it's rather nice for a change.  |

Change the forum skin from default TO ANOTHER COLOUR IN USER CP I have done (finally after working out how to) but the fonts are TERRIBLE! I'm struggling to reply and see new posts as they are so difficult to see and other colour options, I'm afraid to say are revolting. Blue was about the best of the bunch but font choices in reply box verses post reading are shocking! Can someone just tell me when I can change back to default without all the xmas shit...  I too, don't mean to be a moaner, I didn't mind snowflakes and java extra, but the swift change from light to dark freaked me out as it flickers and I was losing my temper xmas eve ??? |

oh Chrissie I'm not being a total hag, am sorry - really, its OK but because it drops from fading to black directly back to lightest level it flashes (and irritates the hell out of me) if it just faded in and out I'd be fine.... I just have issues with the harsh step and i'm hypersensitive to 'stuff' |

The background shouldn't have changed colour at all If I'd known it was doing that I'd have removed the coding straight away. I'm so sorry it was causing so much trouble for some of you  |
