I don't think it's just the nicotine I'm addicted to but also the ritual. I rolled my own for over 40 years and therefore every time I tried to give up in the past, I literally didn't know what to do with my hands. Vaping supplies that need, for me at least.

Well I can think of one forum with that attitude. Problem with your analogy is the two cars you quote don't even look the same never mind one being a clone of the other, Clones are getting better and better every day, look how quick the K4 clone came out and reports so far are all positive. Elitist a are fine if they're are keep in their own little box. Thankfully aaec doesn't suffer them. Yes but both cars do the same thing, transport you from A to B. In fact the Vauxhall is more comfortable and a lot more environmentally friendly. The market for originals at ever increasing prices, whether mods, tanks, drippers or whatever will still continue to grow. There will always be people with more money than sense, that's just human nature. Most of my mods or drippers are clones and I'm quite happy with this. Only originals I have are Kangertech tanks, The Smoktech SID and Vision Spinner II. I don't think I'll ever buy an original or ever need to.

I seem to sit on the fence as far as elitist goes.
On the one hand if it wasn't for people making the original , there wouldn't be the clones for it , so no-one would have one.I also don't like the way elitism excludes the vast majority of people of having something.I don't like the " I'm considerably richer than you " attitude to certain mods and atty's.
With the Kato box mod clone I'm looking at , I don't think there is going to be a lot of difference between the original and the clone , quality wise , add to that , that these are very simple items to make , just one moving part ( the switch ) , the rest can be copied via a CNC and unless you are the manufacturer of the original , I'll doubt if you know the difference.Having said that , i think that atty's , especially being the size they are and how intricate they are too , they are a lot more difficult to clone and this is where , at least I think so , the biggest difference will be.
There is also customer service to consider when thinking about "Original vs Clone" , with the originals , they are normally done is smaller numbers , so can't afford to get things wrong as bad press will kill that product and the company stone dead quickly.Also added to which , when they have charged this very high price , they can afford to replace parts , add a sweetener in etc Which makes them look really good.With a clone, these are done in high volume and done ( a lot of the time ) by companies that you can't even contact most of the time , so if it goes bad , you don't have any come back and you left with a £30-£40 paper weight.
I've probably rambled and flitted back and forth in my half awake state.If needed I'll try and be more clear later when I've had at least 2 cups of tea.

Both cars don't just do the same thing though, if the only requirement is to be transported from A to B why waste your money on a Vauxhall, by a motorbike or just walk. you're not comparing eggs with eggs, a clone is just that, a direct copy of the original. Your analogy is like saying I want a kayfun so I bought a protank, they both do the same thing in vaporising juice ??? and nd whilst I believe there will always be a place for originals I certainlt don't think it will continue to grow, quite the reverse in fact due to the improvements in the quality of the far cheaper alternative.

That's why I have what is commonly known as a poor mans Ferrari. It still gets noticed and gets me from A to B but isn't the real thing. I could never afford the real thing. I don't use all the fancy toppers but if I did and if the copies did the same job and weren't dangerous I would use the copy.

I Vape as an alternative to smoking. I don't think I was addicted to cigarettes as I didn't smoke every day, it was more of a habit than an addiction but I liked it. Now I don't like smoking but I do enjoy vaping & have only ever really used 6mg. Not sure yet if I will just go down to 0mg at some point. I suppose there should be no reason not to really.
