Nice little device but couldn't they make one with all the options..or even make your own Piece of wood with the different sized rods attached, held with clamp screws maybe. Then get another piece of wood as the handle, drill hole through it and add a screw to the base. Add coil, maybe drill an angled hole through the wood by each rod or just hold it down yourself or use a clothes peg lol Then add your handle, twist and coil Idea and patent pending

I received today this one... www.coil-master.net/I can say it's one of the very few times in my life that I cried the money I paid for... totally useless... I do not know the type of the wires they use in thei videos, but I tried KAN-A1 0.20mm / 0.008" / AWG 32, KAN-A1 0.28mm / 0.011" / AWG 29, KAN-A1 0.30mm / 0.012" / AWG 29 and KAN-A1 0.36mm / 0.014" / AWG 27 and the result was a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT... Too much waiste of wire, for nothing... So sad!!! and annoyed!!! Will order www.fasttech.com/products/0/10012175/2066300-kuro-koiler-wire-coiling-tool-3-piece-set hoping that at least I can get what it should according to their statement... If not... screwdriver technique is still a cheap tool...

I had only tried mine with 0.5 mm Kanthal and it works great, I will now try some 0.32 .... a little trickier in that you have to do half a wrap before the screw picks it up properly, the screw was in the inner hole.

VapingBad thanks for the hint... will give it a try tomorrow.... let's hope it will work better... 0.5mm is almost the double from a couple i've tried myself... guess it's easier to work it out with thicker wires... but with wires of 0.25 and 0.28 (the ones I use in my Kayfuns) the result was a drama...

VapingBad much better today thanks to that trick... but still not like the ones you got... basically the first and the last turn of the coil are slightly bigger/wider than the rest of the coil... any trick for that?

Only to do 2 extra turns then unwind them, I remember someone was having ago at making these IIRC Mev though it was a while ago and not sure and they found thin wire was more difficult, maybe holding a bit of tension on the loose end would help if you have problems.

I really hope these coil masters work with .28 Kanthal cos that's all I know how to use! They look so blummin good in the video reviews, maybe it's just technique? Must be easier than the mini screwdriver and blowtorch?

I wasn't that impressed with the thinner wires on my home made one but on 0.5 it worked a treat as in the vids.

I has a go with the Coil Master on the 1 mm former and it is almost unusable as the screw is too far from the former it is very hard not to wrap over the top of the previous turn. I think that if the screw head was replaced with a wheel or roller held against the wire they would work much better, but that's a more complicated device to make well.

I nearly threw mine in the Bin after the first Five goes being a Total disaster Then I realised if you don't keep your thumb pressed tight on the wire coming out of the hole it twists and totally screws up your coils!!! I've tried Three different thickness's since and they've all turned out fine!!!
