Mine finally arrived this morning.....had to have a go straight away. First two attempts rubbish....but now got the hang of it and coils are turning out great. Very pleased with it

Don't torch the wire, the springiness is your friend with these and just don't put any downward pressure on the head when turning. Got the coilmasters in today, haven't tried those yet though.

I've already cancelled a few of these from FT but was wondering what the forum thinks are the best to go for, Kuro, Coil Master or Universal Tools now that most have had a chance to try them out.

I prefer the Coil Master to the Kuro as it has more sizes and you can take the rod out to support the coil while fitting, another small plus it is lighter weight. Yon don't need them if you can coil, but if you have one you will probably use it as they are so easy.

I know that the cheap and nasty "jig" things are quite amazingly rubbish. You get the same quality of coil as wrapping around a 3p blue screwdriver and also waste 10cm of Kanthal every time.
