It's quite possible that they had enough stock to meet the first orders placed on the 8th and were expecting more stock to cover the later orders. That stock may not have arrived. Doesn't help you I know, but they may well have been caught out by the numbers who wanted the coilers.

Would have been nice to have informed you earlier if possible.
