You're doing brilliant @macushla. I still get people ask me how long I've quit fags for now. ''just over 3 years'' While its great to say it, I can't help feel like I've cheated a little... Vaping is so much nicer, cheaper (cough cough), I could never imagine going back to the smellies. Keep up the great work and let me know how you find that bottle of suicide bunny juice!! Not been cig free as long as you Tom, dual fuelled for quite a while, not on them now but still get asked "do you want a fag" off some people who know I'm not using any longer. It is still difficult to refuse though

It is still difficult to refuse though I smoked on holiday a few times. Each time realising a little bit more how minging it was. I found letting myself think that I'm allowed one if I wanted it helped me. I didn't want one then. One of my closest friends still smokes (I'm working on that), I would say a year ago, I would still kind of want one if he was having one. Now, I wouldn't even want one if Ive forgotten my vape for the day. It passes

Strangely enough, I am not the least bit bothered about cigarettes. My OH smokes and offers me one every now and then out of habit, I have no problem saying no. He leaves them on the table sometimes and I don't even look at them.

Well done @macushla I never thought I would be able to give up the stinkies but with vaping it really is so easy, I still have half a packet of L&B in the cupboard as a safety net, but I have not touched them, tomorrow I will be 6 months, it passes so quick

Well done macushla! I have to admit I still smoke when I am around my mum, she smokes and I turn into a proper smoker then as soon as I am away from her I don't thunk twice about having one, it is rather bizarre! Luckily she lives a 4 hour drive away so I don't see her very often!

Not so much as a safety net, but more of a way to to put me off them - they must be so stale by now I bet they would be rank to smoke Well done macushla! It's funny how different we all are Ratfinkz Once in a blue moon I occasionally think I'd quite like a real cig but if I'm close to anyone smoking, I think the opposite.

@macushla - you can be so proud of you after 2 weeks into vaping I gave away all my tobacco and papers and filters - like you Chrissie once in a blue moon -maybe 3 times i nearly a year - I fancied a real cig - or let's say my subconscious did - I told my subconscious to shut up - and now when I am close to smokers - I really don't like the smell

Congratulations to you @macushla. I can't believe it will be 5 years this year since I sparked up, no one was more devoted to smoking than I was - going 5 hours without one tested me! Now I don't give cigarettes a second thought.

I went to my GP today for a repeat prescription for a long-term problem and the first thing she said when I walked through the door was: Have you been on holidays? Apparently, I look *refreshed* . I told her about the only change I have made since I last her ie the vaping and she said: Keep it up, it seems to suit you! So there

Great news @macushla, and keep up the good work! In thime you'll wonder how on earth you managed to stick one of those horrible things in your mouth, light it up and inhale the stinky smoke it produces. I'm now well over 2 years, and really don't miss it at all - don't know what I would have done without vaping though, would probably still be smoking
