Hey there everyone. How are you all. I'm a new member and just wanted to introduce myself really. My name's Isaac. I'm new to the whole e-cig thing. I'm a live in carer, so that's one reason why I want to give up smoking (some people don't like the smell which is fair enough). I've ordered an Apollo Endevour starter kit with a few small bottles to try out, I was recommended it from a friend. Do any of you have this? Is it any good? Anyway, I should have it by Wednesday fingers crossed. I was just wondering how often I need to change the clearomiser, or if I need to at all? Do you have any suggestions for e-liquids for me to try out? I'm a bit worried I'll struggle to quit smoking using this, in the past I've tried an e-cig from a newsagents but I didn't hit the mark, has anyone had any trouble? Or has it been fairly easy? I've spent a fair amount (for me) on this starter kit and I just hope it works out for me. Is there anything else I need to buy or should I be set for a while? I'd really appreciate any input from you all. If you've read all of this then thank you

Hello & welcome Isaac I've just had a look at what you have bought & it looks like it's the same as an Evod kit that other vendors sell, so you should be OK with it. You will need some more e-liquid pretty soon & the coils in the clearomiser will need replacing in a week or two.

Yeah I'll be getting some more e-liquids pretty soon. Also as I have an Apollo do I need to get the coils from them? And would I need to change the clearomiser or would doing the coils be enough? Thank you for your help, sorry im very new to this.

Welcome isaacbale94 just had a look at the Apollo kit and seems pretty decent. I started nearly 2 years ago on something similar and haven't had a ciggie since. The clearomiser has a head in it that heats the liquid and vapourises it, the coil in the head gets gunked up over a period of time that is dependant on the liquid you use. For instance one of the liquids I use gunks the coil after about a week, a different liquid could last 2 to 3 weeks. When the coil gets gunked you will notice a drop in flavour and amount of vapour, that is when you need to change the head. One of the cheapest places to get replacements is a vendor called myepack. Hope this is of some help to you.

prr thank you for the information, I appreciate it. I'll check them out and hopefully I'll be set for a while. Do you think I should alternate between e-cig and normal to start with? Or is it easy enough to just go straight to the e-cig? Well done on that, it's impressive

Some people take to vaping straight away and don't want another ciggie again, others dual fuel and use both, its whatever works for you. Don't worry if you have the odd fag, every one you don't smoke is one less. Good luck isaacbale94

isaacbale94Everyone quits differently. If you feel like you can stop stop and use the ecig, give it a go. If not, start replacing one fag at a time with the ecig instead. Every ciggy not smoked is a victory and then build your way to quitting completely. Good luck and come back here whenever you have anything you're unsure of.

I'll just see how I get on, if I feel I need a cig then I'll try not to beat myself up over it. I was just on myepack and I'm completely lost.. Can I even change the coil/head on the one I have? Could someone help me out with what I need please? Sorry to be a pain.

Thanks prr, but one more question, hope you don't mind. Is there a difference between 1.5ohm and 1.8ohm? Which one should I go for? Thanks again.
