Same thing going around Milton Keynes. Seems to start with children, then gets transferred to parents, who then mix with other parents.

@johanino I have been vaping for 2 years plus, and was cold/flu free during this period.
But 10 days ago I got this `virus` which is about, and have coughing, chest tightness, running nose, sneezing, and headaches.
Visited doctors who said just keep taking cough, flu meds, and it should go away after a couple of weeks.
Now 10 days and slowly improving. Really pissed off being stuck in the house, not able to attend my walking club or have visitors to the house, incase they get it from me.
Even stopped vaping for 2 days, made no difference, so now vaping "double" my normal usage being stuck indoors inactive.
Good start to the New Year (NOT).
Hope you can stay clear of it.
Keep warm, drink loads.(hic.hic).

jeffc it is really worth playing around with your PG/VG ratio. I've just gone from 60/40 - 50/50 in the last hour or two and noticing a difference though still a little chesty. Might try 40/60 by the end of the night. It's worth a try? What have you to lose but your chestiness - hugs

One of my work mates had a chest infection (confirmed with x-rays), for a week before passing it to me (honestly was like flu to me). Lasted me about a week. The irony is he's still coughing 2 weeks after I fully recovered, and he never smoked a ciggy in his life. PG is great in small doses aint it?
Everyone at work is coughing now, and I'm totally clear.
When I first started on e-cigs I was told by my nurse that glycerol could possibly help clear anything from the lungs, including smoking crud and infections. By it's very nature PG will mix readily with bodily fluids, including phlegm.

Well am now on 40/60 PG/VG and getting better all the time though still a little wheezy but no where near as bad as it was. To be honest not noticing much of a difference between 50/50 and 40/60 bar the clouds but know I've had wheezing in the past and has just been PG allergy/irritation and I do vape a lot. At one time I was on 80/20 PG/VG back in the day! I'm coughing up the phlegm but not to the point of throwing up like it was earlier....
I think I'm going to give the 40/60 a day or two and see if it clears it. Here's hoping!!!

This bugs been going round since Xmas. I had it for 3 weeks ended up in A and E. It hit the whole town. On boxing day there was a 6 hour wait in A and E and 70 people waiting to see the out of doctors with it. I ended up with a massive chest infection. Spent all day in A and E on a antibiotic drip, nebulizer, and steroids. It's not nice don't know where it came from. See the doctor as soon as you can. I ended up gasping for air. Don't let it get that bad.

I am sat here, tired and a little wheezy, blocked nose but really don't think it's a chest infection. Little weak (but then I've hardly eaten all week!!!) and a little cabin fever but ok. Won't cancel GP till Monday but sat here really not thinking I have a chest infection. Coughing less (and when I do have a huge coughing fit honey, lemon and glycerine does wonders) and feeling not bad. Just need lots of rest

I'm just getting over mine, still coughing a little but not a real chesty cough, more of a tickle in the throat but have to cough to clear it. Nose a little blocked still, head still aches a little but at least I'm up and about now instead of laying in bed feeling sorry for myself Oh & by the way, I caught this from a friend who came over from the UK with it
