i cant find it to shut laptop down. ive got file manager, firefox and skype down the bottom taskbar but no start HEEEEEEELP

hover mouse in far right hand corner until side panel pops up - bottom one, looks like a cog - settings - click it and 6 buttons show, middle bottom row and there is the shut down button

short press the main power button and it shuts down as it should
sounds wrong after windows vista/7 but its the way it works lol

I only really use it to play syberia but played it before so dont use it much. Mainly on a tablet which spells and punctuates for me!

Bottom left task bar there's a windows pic put mouse on it right click
the mouse ,you will see different options shut down being one of them.

Aha! Mine doesn't ! My screen is deprived! I went into taskbar properties but its all not there. Else they've hidden it from me. In win7 you could have or not have the start button on the bottom left.

I used to be pretty good on a PC back in the day but they've moved on so fast and so much, I'm a bit clueless now.
Saying that, my handwriting has gone to pot and looks like nothing legible.
I'm old !!
