My v2 goes in and does just fine. But I know the glass is fragile, a lot more fragile than pyrex. I don't know if the steel protects it, but I get away with it. Maybe I'm being foolish myself, the risk is your's It's easy enough to clean the tank with an old toothbrush.

Cheers Just don't want to open it and find a broken Squape lying in the bottom. That would be horrid!

Why not use the plastic basket. Stops it banging into the stainless steel container.

The only parts of a rose v2 tank that could possibly hit the inside of the US tank are stainless steel. I believe there is more danger if a smaller piece of steel (like the drip tip) gets inside the tank
The basket just reduces the power.

Hi Folks,
I got one very similar to the Aldi one from Lidl for £12 before Christmas. I have to say its brilliant for cleaning off machine oil off new FT deliveries although to do tend to put items through 3 x 10 minute cycles.
I also used it last night to clean the gunk off a twisted coil from my kayfun that had a few tanks of strawberry fields through it. I did a dry burn then 4 x 10 minute cycles and all most of the burnt residue was gone!!!
