Not sure how many knew, but when Cloupor made their Hanna Clones, there was a problem with the 510 and certian tanks, main one being the Kanger Protanks
They would short out at the 510 then fry/melt the chip
A bit like this.

A kanger protank mini v3 1.8ohm dual coil. I was shocked..it it 3-5 times within 5 mins and set it aside and it started smoking..when I grabbed it was HOT got the back cover off and the board part was glowing...flung the battery out a cross the room. It's the next morning now and my house still smells of burning electronics...so strange...I have washed my hands numerous times and it still smells as well.l.

Maybe something in it..
I'd like to know what the other 2 had on top of thiers...

I received my Cloupor Mini today, I swear that everytime I order something a thread like this comes up about whatever I've bought. I'm a jinx I tell you, should I be worried about using this device?

I would just keep an eye on it m8, I would have still used it if it was already dispatched, but it wasn't even close to being sent, decided to switch it for the IPV mini.

I would just keep an eye on it m8, I would have still used it if it was already dispatched, but it wasn't even close to being sent, decided to switch it for the IPV mini.

I guess all I can is use it and see how it goes, I will be watching it like a hawk.

You could always get some of these for your protection.

No GearBest sent it surface mail so could be a month or more away for all I know, still waiting for batteries from FT shipped Nov 29th, on the boat Dec 10th.

I've been using mine with the Subtank Nano for the past couple of hours and have been checking inside for any heat coming from the battery and board. So far all is good, I just hope mine doesn't end up like the first post.

The Cloupor Mini does come with a warranty card although I'm not sure how long the warranty is. I'm more worried about a burnt hand to be honest.

Likewise, I find the knowledge and recommendations from VapingBad to be excellent and always with safety in mind. I want my vaping experience to be pleasant and enjoyable, there lies the reason I cancelled my Cloupor and ordered an IPV mini. With the vast choice in mods I don't see any reason to buy one which may have safety issues and the potential to cause personal injury or damage to property. If VapingBad can identify any fault with his and there is a fix to overcome it, then I may still buy one but failing that, for me, this device will stay on the vendors shelf.

I wouldn't get your hops up that I can fix it, thanks for the kind words.  It is a worry, lets wait to see if more turn up, I expect they will now we have seen three.

They don't answer emails though, so a warranty card is just a piece of plastic, that saying I have both a T8 and the mini and no problems with either of them, I don't push them anywhere near the limit though, at the moment I have a KF v2 @ 1.74 ohm on it @ 15w with the second battery inserted yesterday, 1st was a 25R this is a VTC5.

This one had a bit more info, he was vaping an Atlantis at around 30 W when it started to say too hot
Changed over to a Nautilus tank at 14 W then the melt down....

That one the overheating is further up the board, 4 out of thousands, but it's not a one off and I'm sure not the last we will see. At least it's not blowing the batteries. Wish I could cancel and order that has already shipped by snail mail.
