Looks like another case of using the wrong charger / charging method.

Just faulty electronics that blew and not the battery which would be much worse. Normally the charging chip is near the UBS so it's anyone's guess what actually blew, when I eventually get mine I will test if it draws more current form USB than it should. IMO Everyone buying cheap USB cahrging kit should get a USB metre or Charge Doctor.

I take my batteries out to charge them. For me, that's the benefit of the magnetic cover. Swap the batteries and back vaping again in around 3 or 4 seconds.

I'm hoping I'll be using both systems, replace battery when downstairs, charge via usb in bedroom or when out and about ( near a plug) and the option to have spare batteries in my handbag.
The magnetic panel removal for easy access totally sold me, combined with small format and cheapness. I think I can forgive it for its faults, I'll find out when it finally lands.....

I always take out batteries if it's possible, never use the usbs to charge Even on my Vaper Shark rDNA, I would un screw the screw and change the battery then using the usb charge port...
I have been using my Cloupor mini all day today and it's a nice device, this hasn't scared me off but it made for 100% never to use the usb charge port on it..
Although in a way it's kinda bad, say a guy just decided to stop smoking Pops into a vape shop, see this new mini and seeing it can be charged via the usb. Buys it and get home, pops in his new battery he bought with it, then decides to charge it via the usb... Next thing BANG!!!
Picks up his pack of cigs and says to them, i'll stick you you I think.....

You never know, maybe the guy got it wet. But I don't think it is a charging problem, more a circuit self destructs while charging problem than damage your battery problem. Could also be the reverse battery protection failed with the battery in the wrong way. Need much better pictures to see what on the circuit blew really.

Awww why couldnt it have been a coolfire 2....... You would need it to charge badly and have a trustfire for the effect you thinking of, the battery didn't vent or blow in the pics.

Looking at the picture and the battery it was in the correct way.... Yes negative at the top, but tiny tiny chance it was put in the wrong way fried a transistor then put in the right way and the fried transistor caused too much power go to another part of the circuit, but a very long shot. But a bit of loose wire of water could have done it, if it happens to anither then I may worry.

Looking closely I'd say it wasn't a charging problem. Even if a USB port was to go to 6Volts it wouldn't overload the charging circuit. The charging board looks to have gone faulty and drawn too much current - burning itself out.
A bad USB on any PC wouldn't have done that. iirc the charging chip starts to break down around 15volts, and the caps are rated at 16 volts.
Nope. Doubting Thomas is in his corner shaking his head and muttering 'bad workmanship' - again!
If this was to happen to something I'd made I'd want it back for autopsy, to see if there isn't a serious problem with the product.

That's why I can't understand the likes of Pioneer4you shoving out IPV3s with screw on covers and you can't charge them via USB anyway - makes no sense.

I've had more trouble with cloupor then any other company their quality control is extremely hit and miss and trying to communicate with them is a total exercise in futility. Numerous mods have had power regulation issues and the t8 mod I was examining worried me that much I stopped put it back in the box and returned it, normally I'd apply the "everyone has the odd bad unit" but with cloupor it's been more then the odd unit. I had hoped things would have improved with their newer products but maybe not for any of you with or waiting for any cloupor product please keep a close eye on it and be safe.
