when i first started building my own coils and getting into the darker side of vaping i purchased all sorts of kanthal, wick etc..
i have just used for the first time some 0.25mm wire and wrapped it 10 times ( think it was 10 ) to get 1.7 ohms. on my vamo v5 its pulling 2.7amps at 12w does the wire thickness, wraps and ohms effect the strength of the vape? cause the nicotine is making my head spin and toes curl up to my knees.

No, the wire thickness, wraps and ohms affect the coil only. However you use them to increase ramp up time of the coil and the amount of wick covered. A low ohm coil will heat quickly and if it's a big coil covering big surface area then the amount of vapour will increase. The strength of the vape is determined by the liquid. I suspect that the coils is generating more vapour than you are used to and this is why you are experiencing the symptoms that you describe. Counter this by turning the power down.

Yeah more vapour being produced in a shorter space of time, you will get used to it quickly though. Check some cloud chasing vids on youtube, super short draws (cos it's really hot) but masses of vapour.

its as you said,, probably producing more vapour and im inhaling more than im used to. Usually i vape 12mg juice on a 1.2ohm coil in a Kayfun. In a dripper, which is 0.6ohm, i can only vape 6mg, as 12mg in a dripper will blow my head off lol
