hi everyone.
great forum btw.
my partner and I bought 2 starter packs from VIP 2 weeks ago, then one of the batteries packed up, so ordered 3 more and loads of cartomisers. £80 worth, then the other battery packed up.

so my question is:
if i buy the riva 1100 from vapescape, will it work with the VIP cartomisers?
is it really as good as ive been reading on here and other forums?
what is the best eliquid to match golden virginia?

I'm fairly certain, from memory, that the VIP cartomisers aren't compatible with a Riva I do know though that the Riva is really good & far superior to the VIP.

Off to see if I can find an adapter for you to be able to use up your cartos on a Riva (510 threading)

I was a golden virginia smoker and still very new to this. I have a couple of tobacco flavour juices that I just don't like, the virginia one tastes nothing like it, in my opinion .

My favourite tobacco type smoke so far is benson and fences

Okey dokey, I think the VIP is a 4081 fitting. If so, you could buy one of these adapters & then you should be able to use up the cartomisers you have on the Riva. The one you want is the 510 - 4081 adapter -

I'm very sure it is rn4081. I had someone else ask recently and I had a real time finding the answer as to what thread it was, and I found a few years old thread in the ECF archives saying it was rn4081

still not 100% sure what im going to do yet, but definately not giving VIP anymore money. what a rip-off they are. but guess its all a learning curve.
had a look at the adapter Chrissie, and if it fits then well worth £3. maybe someone will confirm whether they are compatible later.
impressed with the responses on here so far, to this question and the way all the other noobs have been replied to.

Just to add another confirmation that the VIP is defo a RN4081 and the adapter will do the job re the Riva. See link below:

(It's from way back, when Heady/Rokstar was still convinced the VIP was the dog's bajonies )

P.S. Of the baccy flavours I've tried, the best by far are (in order of my preference, YMMV):

Joint 1st: HS Delight & HS Impulse 24mg
2nd: HS Storm 24mg

All from Vapeescape. So if you're getting a Riva from there i'd say also get a 10 ml bottle of each at the same time to try out. The Hangsen RY4 from there is also very good btw.

Hi Brian,

Well, seeing as you've found Liberty Flights, I'd actually go for this one:

Riva 510 - Carto Deluxe
Either, Kanger Deluxe Cartomizer Kit (my pref), or Boge Deluxe Cartomizer Kit.

Reason being they come supplied with Cartomizers rather than the Atomizers & Cartridges that come with the kits you listed. Cartomizers = less fiddling and faffing about refilling and such, and are generally more reliable and cost effective IMO.

I'd still recommend you try the Vapeescape baccy juices though

done it!!!! ended up with the riva 1100, extra 5 boge carts, 5x10 ml juices, case, drip tip and a case for everything. total cost £63. lets hope thats the lot now. was only paying fiver a week on baccy.... sheesh!!!! just need that conversion kit for the other carts from VIP and am home and hosed....

Hey Brian, i've spent much more on my 'kit' this week than i would ever have spent on baccy! But, your health is priceless! Also, i'm confident that when we get the kit that suits us our costs will even out.

and we will save money on re-decorating our nicotine stained houses lol!
