Just had one those 'Why Me?' moments...

Had a few niggling things go wrong today which wound me up, so settling down for the night I reached for a fresh 'bottle' to relax me.

And the bl**dy top was faulty with the whole cap just going around and around. Got the pliers out, but wouldn't reach round the neck... tried a few screwdrivers, but only managed to stab myself in the finger... ouch.

Found my cheapo set of mini screwdrivers and was able to get inside the cap and rip it off... relief!

I know there's far more important things happening in the world, but thought I'd just share that with you.

Raffles Had that happen to me a few times over the years. Try an old sharp knife next time and press hard on the tiny tabs that seal the top on, don't try to cut though.

Its one thing to run down the street accosting strangers to help - waving a sauce mix. But its entirely different when done in dressing gown and holding a stubborn vodka bottle....

I remember once dropping a bottle and deliberating about using a straw on floor lino   it was pre-concert and there were 4 of us, so I thought they might be disgusted! if I'd been alone I suspect I'd have hoovered around the glass shards and got stuck in  ???

You reminded me of an incident at one of my daughters birthday party's many years ago. I couldn't get the top off a bottle of pop. My solution is to wedge it tightly in the door jam and twist. Needless to say, this bottle exploded in my face and, promptly smothered my daughter in coke all over a white embroidered expensive party dress. Lesson learnt!
