Hi all
Well I was patient with my first real CLC mix (I had done a couple of 5mi testers). I managed to wait 5 weeks!
While the smell is fantastic the flavour is very muted, and I am trying to understand why?
1) I was really careful to follow the recipe, but I did use UK flavours vanilla custard, and I am wondering if I should have upped the %-age a bit 2) Im using 50.50 - should I up the PG next time 3) I tried it on a little dripper and a mini-protank three both with fresh cotton, would it taste better in a better tank 4) should I try the vodka or vinegar trick mentioned in other posts. If so can they be added now, and do they need to steep even longer (how much should I use?)
Finally will the flavour get strong if I leave the remaining 40ml to steep for another few weeks.
Any thoughts and advice would be fantastic.

I am not sure what brand UK flavours custard is really, but Capella or even PA custard are the only ones i would use. This may be the cause 50/50 is fine, its what i vape it at. Vinegar iirc only works with tobacco based flavours.
Did you use Vanillin? that makes a difference.

Did you also use TPA's French Vanilla Deluxe @kopiert? It's more intense than their standard French Vanilla . . . all my mixes are VG heavy and it's fine. I don't dilute with Vodka now either.
Though call me old fashioned, but I still prefer the taste of Custard off of a silica/ekowool wick in preference to cotton or rayon.
Evods/Protanks are the standard tanks I use . . . and it's generally 3-6months before a custard brew gets used for me.

If life throws you lemons slice em up and throw them in a very large vodka :)

Not a great custard lover , I made some I think about August ? Wasn't impressed really but just revisited it and definitely improved with age ! Just put it back to bed for a few months and it may well taste much better
