I am currently using an ipv2. I have 3 batteries. 2 Purple efests and one vtc5 which I purchased from torchy.
The problem I am having is that when the vtc5 is installed if I put the ipv2 down on a hard surface it switches off. And also the ohms are jumping all over the place.
I thought it was the mod at fault until I realised that it only happened with the vtc5 in it.
Has anyone else had a similar issue?

I'd guess it's because your vtc5 is a flat top battery and not contacting properly? The battery below is either a button top or someone has installed a magnet to take up the gap between the battery top and the contact plate, are your efests button tops?

I wouldn't recommend bending the tab. Better to get these and pop one on the top of the battery

They all have different dimensions. The top connection on the efest is slightly more raised than the vtc5. One hair's width can make a massive difference. Was a good spot by osdset, I generally forget things like that and go straight to the spring.

personally I'd be more inclined to fit something on the -ive terminal, as if it does slip about a bit (in most mods) it'll short to earth, which it is at anyway. A slippy disc on the +ive shorting to earth could be catastrophic....
edit - looking at the pic above, deffo fit it at the -ive end

Had a similar problem with a vtc4 from torchy, what i found to be the problem was the wrap that torchy has put on the battery was covering the positive ens so i carefully removed around the top of the battery and all sorted
