I'd like to know how the magnet could short the battery. The only metal it can touch it the positive contacts - everything else in the area is plastic. I wouldn't recommend something like that if it wasn't safe, especially when batteries are concerned. Comments like that can ruin someone's reputation GunJack. |

VTC5's are not available again and won't be in the near future, this is Sony's decision to withdraw them from sale as they were never supposed to be used in this way. Also the green battery in the thread osdset does not look like a genuine VTC5 if that's what it was sold as. OP's problem is movement between the battery and the terminal as he sets it down, i'm fairly sure that this problem has been discovered before on that mod. |

Comments like that can ruin someone's reputation GunJack. sorry, long crappy day, was thinking more of tube mods which use the body as the earth return..re-looking at it, yes, on that pic the +ive terminal looks pretty well enclosed with plastic, earlier I thought the fins holding the pos were part of the terminal. Not trying to ruin anyone's rep Ripshod so please don't think that |
