I had a bit of a senior moment and ordered some stainless steel LR boge cartos recently. Then I realised I had already got stainless Steel SR Kangers, and can't tell them apart.
Doh!
In the same order I got a SDKeyring, on which I don't want to use LR cartos.
Double doh!
So, after a bit of squinting, I found two ways to tell the difference between a Boge and a Kanger...

Mouth EndBoge is on the left, Kanger on the right. The wadding on the Boge is flush with the top of the air tube and you can see the wire going round to the coil On the Kanger the air tube stands a tiny bit proud from the top of the wadding. Which is all fine and dandy if you don't mind pulling off your drip tip every five minutes ( ooer).

Battery EndBoge on the left Kanger on the right again. The centre contact on the Boge is much broader, and the air hole is countersunk on the inner bore (bevelled). On the Kamger it is much smaller, and 'square' ended at the base of the air tube. So there you have it, just look at the bottom - the easiest thing to look for is the bevel on the Boge. Happy bunny again

Very useful information for those of us prone to senior moments Dom . . . I shall take you with me, the next time I go shopping for footwear.

Your only option is to suck it and see. They are visually indistinguishable.

You'll need to add a battery but it could be a cheap one from Pondland as it uses very little power and you'd only use it occasionally.

Bargains - I paid nearly £5 for mine from Maplins! Really, for the peanuts they cost I have found mine incredibly useful. I check my batteries before and after charges so I know they and the charger are working correctly - this has already identified two duff batteries. Most significantly I check the resistance on all the atomisers and cartomisers I use - I have already had a few replaced because they were way off what they should have been, so it has actually more than paid for itself.
